Fisher Cabin - Cute Log Cabin with Private Creek in the Crazy Mountains!

*Kindly note that Fisher Cabin shares the property with three additional cabins: Sagebrush Cabin, Creekside Cabin, and Canyon Vista Cabin. It's an ideal arrangement for booking multiple cabins together, making it perfect for larger families or gatherings. Although Canyon Vista is situated separately from the other three cabins, it is still part of the same property.*

Fisher Cabin is a rustic log cabin getaway secluded in a forested mountain canyon in the Crazy Mountains of southwestern Montana. Fall asleep at night listening to the rushing waters of Big Timber Creek, located just outside your door. Watch the sun set over the Crazy Mountains up the canyon from the floor to ceiling picture windows. Sip your coffee on the covered porch facing Big Timber creek as you watch the deer and the birds in their natural habitat.

Dogs are considered with owner approval and a fee. Please inform us at the time of booking of the number and age/weight/breed of the dog(s) you are planning to bring.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Fisher Cabin is a true mountain getaway with amazing views of the Crazies and private frontage on Big Timber Creek; all on 160 acres of land. Enjoy all the comforts of home (plus a hot tub!) while experiencing everything Montana's wild country has to offer. World-class hiking is just down the road at the Half Moon trailhead offering trails to sparkling mountain lakes at the bases of the highest peaks in the range. This is also a wildlife rich area; you might wake up to a moose looking through your window!

BEDROOMS AND BATHS: There is one bedroom with a queen bed. The living room, while open to the kitchen, can be closed off to make a second bedroom. The futons fold down into a full-size bed and a twin-size bed. The full bathroom has a beautiful clawfoot tub/shower with views of the Aspen forest through the window. Two extra twin mattresses are available to sleep additional guests.

KITCHEN AND DINING: This open and functional kitchen has everything you need: fridge, stove, oven, dishwasher, and microwave, along with all of the essential utensils, pots, and pans for cooking a delicious meal. The custom log dining table seats 6 comfortably.

LIVING ROOM: Windows on every wall bring in tons of natural light and let you see everything that makes this location truly special. Enjoy views of the Crazies while taking in the warmth of the infrared fireplace. There is a 43" Smart TV that allows you to use your personal streaming accounts after a long day in the woods.

TOWN/AIRPORT: The cabin is located approximately 20 miles northwest of Big Timber. The nearest commercial airports are both about a 100 mile drive to either Bozeman International Airport or Billings-Logan International Airport.

ACTIVITES NEARBY: The possibilities are endless! There is approximately 2 miles of winding trail, 5-foot wide, through the forest and brush on the property available summer and winter (snowshoes provided). Fishing is right outside of your door on Big Timber Creek. Private land surrounds the majority of this cold mountain stream making it nearly untouched by the droves of anglers that flock to the Yellowstone region. Excellent hiking into the lake-studded high country of the Crazies is just 4 miles down the road. The quaint small town of Big Timber is about 20 miles away with restaurants and shopping. Last but not least, simply relax and unwind on the porch, taking in the sounds of the creek and the incredible dark, starry skies.

Absolutely beautiful cabin! Clean, spacious. The hike to the waterfall at the campground down the road was beautiful and was easily doable with a one year old. Owners communicated well and answered all questions. Would book again in a heartbeat!

Exploring Montana
We absolutely loved everything about our stay at your beautiful cabin! As soon as I walked in the door I knew it was going to be perfect. We enjoyed exploring and hiking thanks to your recommendations. The cabin had everything you would need and more. Thank you so much for a wonderful adventure, a five star home away from home!

Nice stay in the mountains
We enjoyed our quiet, relaxing, cozy stay at the Fisher Cabin. My only complaint is that the hot tub really needed cleaned prior to our stay. There was animal hair floating in it and dirt in the bottom. This could probably partially be due to the lid being held on with only bungee cords. Other than the hot tub, the property was perfect and we really enjoyed our time.

Week family vacation
This property is very nice. The view from the living room window is excellent. The location off the main highway made it tricky to find it the first time. Takes about 30 minutes to get to Big Timber from cabin. The hiking trails 4 mile away from cabin are some of the best trails i have ever seen. If you like quite, few people, and a great view this is it..

Adorable cabin - but didn't get to stay there
Sadly for us, we were unable to stay at the Fisher Cabin b/c of plumbing issues. The owners were Amazing. They contacted us immediately w/ the bad news and quickly offered us a different property in Bozeman. We did take a day trip out to the Fisher Cabin property while it was being repaired. The location is stunning, the cabin was adorable and we hope to stay there next year when we visit MT again.

A Little Piece of Heaven
This location is absolutely AMAZING and the mountain views are unreal! I think the word- WOW came out of my mouth 50 times on the drive down to the cabin! As soon as we turned down the road to the cabin there were tons of wildlife everywhere. There wasn't a trip that we didn't see animals. The deer came right down in front of the cabin too. Huge windows allowed us to enjoy every sunrise and sunset in the mountains. The cabin was clean, comfortable and had a fully stocked kitchen with everything that we needed to cook all of our meals at the cabin. The cabin was located close to Natural Bridge Falls too that was beautiful with great hiking trails and spectacular views! We will definitely be back! Loved this location, cabin and hospitality! THANK YOU!!!

Not quite what I thought I rented.
Although this property was very nice for a couple or a small family, and was in a pretty location, it was not what was in the information at the time I originally rented this property. I t was a one bedroom, with a loft suitable for children, and a hide-a-bed in the living room. As grandparents, it was UNCOMFORTABLE to climb a ladder and have to sleep on twin mattresses on a loft floor. Fishing? No, not really. We had a lovely time, but as the information I received was nearly all incorrect, I will not be renting here again.

Cabin - hunting
Cabin was spectacular, with every modern convenience. Fact is though, we booked it for hunting and not doing laundry or watching TV. The hunting was billed as 11,000 acres. Also was told hunting was $75 per person, per day and renting the cabin was a pre req. Fact is that anyone with $75 can hunt and we saw probably 30 pickups in a one day hunt. Did not hunt the next 2 days as planned. Owners are are awesome people, however, for your money, unless you are wealthy, you could bring your camper or set up a tent on the public lands in he National Forest.
