"Nice hotel with a spa unfortunately, if you have tattoos, you can’t use it. Super friendly staff rooms are a little tired, but comfortable. We came by bike and they had bike parking, which was really nice. There’s breakfast we didn’t do the breakfast so I can’t comment on that but they do have laundry facilities and it’s not that expensive. The area is close to lots of restaurants within walking distance. "

"Kurashiki was a very nice place to visit. Ivy Square Hotel was located in very convenient and central Kurashiki. Hotel was converted from the part of old factory. It was clean, room very comfortable and roomy, Public bath was great. Buffet breakfast had excellent choice and all very tasty. Highly recommend this hotel in Kurashiki. Only 18 min of walk to JR station, nice walk along the canal."

"The room has EVERYTHING !! even the basic room, there was a microwave ! fridge, dehumidifier/air cleaner, water boiler, internet LAN cable(even there was smooth wi-fi )and even a blue light sterilizer! The only downside was the staff at the check-in counter didn’t really speak English. Additionally, the soundproof was bad, i could hear the sound of motorbike all night long from the street and footsteps from upstairs."

"Very good room. Modern and functional, small but didn't feel cramped. The hotel even had a sento (traditional public bath), which was nice. The hotel is located close to many of Kurashiki's attractions, but is ~15 minute walk from Kurashiki station which was slightly inconvenient with luggage, but not a major issue. "The property is right next to the JR station, where we can easily walk to the historic site and the long shopping arcade. The property is roomy and has a small dinning table for eating or drinking. The staff were quite friendly and the check in process was simple. "

"A very nice hotel at a very fair price. We did make an error in not checking the location. It is about 30 minutes out of central Kurashiki. This required a local train which runs every 30 mins or so. There were some restaurants close by and we both enjoyed the Onsen baths. So swings and roundabouts but enjoyed our stay."

"We had stayed here before and based on that experience I didn’t consider booking anywhere else. The location is about a 5 - 10 minute walk from Okayama station, just turn right at the canal. Rooms are comfortable, quiet and have a window that opens sufficiently for some fresh air. The breakfast is simply outstanding. Sadly, we only found out on our departure day that the restaurant is also open for lunch. Okayama is a lovely city and perhaps overlooked as a destination. Hiroshima, Osaka, Kyoto are easily accessible as is the island of Naoshima. The city is very walkable and the Okayama Korakuen (garden) is worth visiting. The canal walk is lovely."
