"The provided facilities, in terms of the fridge shack etc could do with updating and the site is a lot smaller than anticipated so we were greatful of only one other pod being occupied. Had there have been others there, there wouldn’t have been much privacy at all. Coat hooks being on the same wall as the plugs/shelf etc meant coats hanging over the kettle , but the pod itself was lovely and clean, amazingly comfortable bed. "We had an pleasant stay and all staff were very friendly. We ordered some snacks on one of the nights at 9pm and were told tge kitchen is closed. But when checked in we were told we can order till 9.30pm. So we told the receptionist named Erin, who was very helpful and reported this. Later we went to our room and got our snacks on the house,which we were not expecting this. Erin was very professional and polite who dealt with situation which we appreciate it dearly. Breakfast was great!"

Gorgeous Grand

"Our stay at The Grand was lovely, we hadn’t been to York for a few years but the standard of the hotel hasn’t changed. For us it is the only place to stay in York with an excellent location for the city and station of arriving by train. The staff are so welcoming and special mention to Wayne at the entrance he is a credit to the hotel, so welcoming to everyone! Our room was gorgeous and very clean and very quiet at night. Overall a lovely stay and we will stay agin next time we are in York! "
