"We were a group of friends destined for Champagne to celebrate my 70th birthday and stayed for 8 nights at David Piot’s Cottage. What a house…lots of space for 10. Three bedrooms on the second floor, two on the third and one in the rafters with its own skylight, all very spacious with private bathrooms. "We have been on many nice villa holidays as a family. This propery is absolutely magnificent. The size of the place is awe inspiring. The quality of the interior and the finish and decor are excellent. The facilities are the best we have had on holiday... and then there is the view. Its just beautiful. "The hotel is very suitable for anyone travelling from the UK by road to southern France or the Alps. The drive from Calais to Chalons-en-Champagne is less than 3 hours. The town is not too far from the motorway south. There is very well priced fuel available. The hotel is located in a very pleasant square. Whereas the hotel does not have a dining room (except for breakfast) there are several restaurants and bars in the square. The hotel has a limited amount of parking, but there is parking in the square and an underground car part beneath the hotel next door that is open to the public."
