Our home is perfect for a small group of friends or the whole family gathering. The house features all around mountain view, big hot tub on the patio and in the open living room there is a long table for the whole group to enjoy every meal of the day. The house is located within most of the main attractions of South Iceland like Þingvellir, Faxi waterfall, Efstidalur, Brúarfoss, Geysir and Gullfoss. Within 1 km - 100 km radius are Þjórsjárdalur, Landmannalaugar, Þórsmörk, Kjölur, Háifoss, Gjáin, Stöng, Hrunalaug, Þjófafoss, Hrunalaug, Brúarhlöð, Skógafoss, Gljúfrabúi, Hjálparfoss, Friðheimar greenhouse, Mika restaurant, Vínstofa Friðheima wine bar, Kerið crater and many more great exciting places to visit. We are located in Reykholt beautiful tiny village just 19/27 km from Geysir and Gullfoss so the surrounding is really peaceful and quiet.

Great visit for our large family

Location was great, central to what we wanted to visit in Iceland. Six bedrooms fit our family of 13 very well, kitchen and appliances were well stocked, and plenty of room to sit for meals and games.

Wonderfully quaint large home
Home base for 14 travelers, Easy access right in the golden circle, very quiet location at the end of the street. Saw the northern lights from the back patio. All the accommodations you want for a weeks stay. One cautious note is the washer/ dryer takes a very long time ( this seems to be an Icelandic design) If we return we will likely come to this wonderful home!

Amazing family gathering in Reykholt
We had such a wonderful C time visiting the golden circle and Reykholt area! Agla was a wonderful host and provided such helpful information for day trips. She even helped arrange for a local chef to come and cook a lovely dinner for us at the house. We were a C large group of 8 adults, 1 ten, and 2 young children. The house was perfect! We would definitely stay again if visiting Iceland in the future.

Everything about the White House was perfect. Everyone had there own space and bathroom!!!!!! The kitchen was stocked for everything we could possibly need to make fabulous meals!!! Clean, clean, clean !!!!!! Communication was always quick and informative!!

11 of us stayed at the house which more than met our needs. Communicating with our host was very easy and she was prompt with her replies. We had enough room so we could have our space or play games at the table. This was a very good find and highly recommended.

Great villa in the countryside
Overall great experience. The hosts are very communicative. The villa is clean and super cute. Only drawback is the hot tub only gets to Luke warm. We just couldn’t do it in 30 degree weather. The location is far from the city. This however is perfect if you are trying to see the northern lights. We got a wonderful view from the balcony.

The land of Unpronounceable names.
We booked the WH nearly a year ago. Agla & Karl could not be more perfect host. The WH surpassed every expectation. Never a question went unanswered and promptly! Agla suggested places to go, and places to eat. We were only 4 in our group so the house was oversized for our needs but we wanted that. If you’re planning an Icelantic adventure with a large group this is the house for you. Thank you again Agla & Karl.

Great house with a great location!
We stayed at this property with two families of 4, and it had everything we needed for a great week! Very clean and spacious, comfortable beds, tons of outdoor patio space, and close to so much. We did a thermal pool, hopped on a tour bus to a glacier, saw geysers, and waterfalls all less than an hour away. Would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to see all the great sights of Iceland, and come home to great comfort and ease.

incredible house
We, a group of 10 friends, loved staying here! everything we could possibly need was available and questions were responded to really fast. The location is a great base from which to explore iceland, it seems quiet and like a very safe neighbourhood. There is also little light pollution, we saw the northern lights from the balcony and hot tub. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay here!

Excellent place to stay with extended family with lots to do
We enjoyed a week in late September here with our children and grandchildren. We found it really spacious with plenty of room for the infants to move around. Self-catering was straightforward. We were really impressed at how many things there were to do and see within a 30min drive. The Tomato greenhouses at Frodheimar were a 10min walk and a great lunch - but do book ahead as it was really busy even in September. The Northern Lights were easily visible just by walking outside on clear nights

Warm and Welcoming Home
From booking, pre arrival and during our stay, Agla was very helpful with information. The home has everything you need for a wonderful stay! The location is perfect for the Golden Circle Sites. Our group consisted of 6 adults and 1 teenager, we all had our own room and bathroom making it so nice to be able to all be ready at the same time. If we return, we will definitely rent this home again. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The Perfect Location and a Beautiful House
First of all, Agla was the most accommodating host. She was extremely flexible with us, understanding, and made us feel so comfortable and welcomed in her inn. The property was so beautiful. From the decorations to the comfort of each room. We didn’t have time to enjoy the backyard but the space looked so nice. We loved the location being near the Fridheimar tomato farm and other spots on the Golden Circle. I would 10/10 recommend this place it was beyond perfect for a big group stay.

Incredible home, perfect in every way
We were a large family staying for three nights as we toured around the Golden Circle before heading south, and The White House was a fantastic stay and perfect home base for our adventures. It is a gorgeous house, with beautiful furnishings, and a huge kitchen with everything you might possibly need to make home-cooked meals. The bedrooms are all roomy and mattresses extremely comfortable, and the lovely modern individual bathrooms were a huge plus for us. We spent each evening out on the deck and in the roomy, clean hot tub (and when we asked Agla to turn up the temperature for us, she took care of it immediately). The neighborhood is quiet, but there is a pizza restaurant right up the road that was perfect for the one night we did take out. I could go on and on about how happy we were here and how everything we needed was provided. Don't hesitate one second in choosing to stay at The White House!

Exceeded our dreams
Our stay far exceeded what we could have dreamed of. Beautiful home, large accommodations, lovely yard and perfect location. Saw the Northern lights from the back balcony and soaked in the hot tub while snow was falling. Agla and Carl were outstanding hosts. Quick to respond, welcoming and included us in their holiday traditions. We are a family of 9 that will forever remember our happy times in The White House.

A great base for our big group to see the sights!
A really lovely, clean, & well equipped place (kitchen tools/pantry things & laundry!) and was perfectly set up for 6 couples to stay together & cook group dinners but still have some privacy. Agla was very helpful and responsive and the location was convenient to a lot of the golden circle sights plus the volcano & a decent distance even from the sights near Vik. We would definitely choose this place again if we return with a different group.
