The Copper Cottage.
This newly renovated home is fully furnished and sits above beautiful AllSports Muskrat lake!
This bi-level home if very spacious and sleeps 10 people easily. It also has and upper and lower deck to enjoy our beautiful Michigan weather and amazing views!
The entrance level of the home has a large living area with sofa bed, an extra sitting area, large bedroom and full bath. You can walk out unto the upper deck through either the living or bedroom area to relax and enjoy the beautiful views.
The lower level consists of the kitchen area with island, table and chairs and another sitting area. The master bedroom and full-size bathroom are also on the lower level along with the washer and dryer area. You can walk out unto the large lower deck through the sitting area on the lower level. This area is great for grilling, visiting or just relaxing. From the lower deck, you can take stairs down to the fire pit area to enjoy friends and family and a wonderful fire!
You have your own private beach and dock. There is also a sandbar out in the middle of the lake, if you'd rather venture out. Muskrat lake is known for its great fishing and although it isn't a private lake, it's very peaceful and quiet (even on the busiest dates!) Our rental does sit above the lake so a golf cart will be provided during your stay to help get you up and down to your private beach and dock if you'd like.
If interested in a quiet get away during the fall and winter months, come check us out!
Enjoy the peaceful area or maybe try out one of the two ski lodges within 18 miles of us. Or maybe you'd rather do some cross-country skiing on the Kal-Haven trail or check out the old school arcade in Gobles just a few miles away! There is also ice fishing too! just please be aware if ice fishing is what you are intending to do, we can't guarantee when the lake will be frozen over (it is Michigan after all!) Also, we unfortunately don't have transportation down to the lake during the winter months.

Copper Cottage
We stayed here because we were in the area for a wedding, so we didn't spend a lot of time here, but wish we could have. The cottage was clean and neat and me and my two grandchildren had fun on the paddle boat. We would stay here again.

This place was perfect. It had everything we need and the lake at the back was perfect for our 3 year old. Paddle boat was super easy to take out. Only small issue was that the shower in the lower level smelled a bit like well water so we only use the upstairs shower.

Great Weekend Getaway!
We really enjoyed our stay at this home! The views from the porch are wonderful and the neighborhood is so peaceful. We really liked the beach area and using the kayaks, paddleboat and raft. Our teens had a great time playing the lake! The home has lots of space for all of and our dog, indoors and outdoors. Thank you for sharing it with us!

Great place
House is plenty big, plenty of beds. The golf cart to go up and down the hill is great! Caught a ton of fish right off the dock. Only reason i won’t give a 5 start is if you use the shower in the master bedroom it puts a terrible smell in the bathroom that’s connected to the master bedroom. When that gets fixed it’s definitely a 5 start place. Just a note the smell wouldn’t stop us from booking another trip there really soon. 25 mins from Lake Michigan privet beach. Good place to relax. Beach is well taken care of perfect for little kids sand bar is market deepest part on me was maybe thigh height. Owners live right next door and are amazing ppl that help with whatever needed, while not making you feel like they are watching you. We will definitely be going back.

Delightful Memories
This was the 11th annual vacation with grandkids; now ages 4 to 14. I believe this was the best yet. Beautiful setting, perfect beach & lake for young children! Kids had a blast & everything in house as presented plus. Very careful planning by host to accommodate a relaxing and memorable vacation. We hope to make this our annual get-a-away location! Another wonderful vacation!
This was our third, and apparently last, stay at The Copper Cottage. The town is passing an ordinance restricting short-term rentals so it will no longer be available. However, we can't say enough about how lovely and responsive the owner has been. The lake is a lot of fun and Lake Michigan is a short drive away. We tried fishing this trip and, while we didn't get a full meal for our efforts, we had fun. We will miss this place!

Excellent hosts in all respects. A roomy very well- furnished house with more than enough room for the 10- person capacity stated in the ad. The decks have beautiful views of the lake, comfortable chairs, and both gas and charcoal grills. Fire pit in front of the house and down by the lake. The beach area is perfect for children and adults. Fishing was excellent, caught crappie, bluegills, and largemouth bass - all on worn and bobber. Took the pontoon boat out one afternoon and that was great as well. This is an excellent value and relaxing place.

The Copper Cottage looks small, but has plenty of room on the inside. There were five of us, but this home could easily accommodate more. The beds were comfy and the home was clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen has a very cool stove from the fifties that worked great! The small private beach area was perfect for relaxing and fishing. We were very satisfied with our stay. Thank you.

The Perfect Getaway
5 stars all around, would give more if i could. Listing is 100% accurate. The house was extremely clean and the views were probably my favorite part. I sat on the balcony for hours, reading my book, soaking up the sunlight and the lakefront views! So quiet and peaceful, exactly what i needed for a little "me time" getaway. The owners also provide a golf cart to get up and down the hill to the lake, where there is a small private beachfront. I absolutely cannot wait to come back! The owners were exceptional, super friendly and helpful. Don't wait on this listing. BOOK IT!

Delightful birthday celebration stay
Our second time at The Copper Cottage and, despite less than ideal weather, we had a great time. Watching the storms on the lake from the cozy cottage was actually quite relaxing. Hope, the host, was very responsive and easy to work with. We will definitely be staying here again!

The property was very clean and neat, the area was beautiful granted we were there when it was a bit too cold for the lake it’s a perfect place for a summer trip. Would definitely book with Hope again she was very easy to reach and very helpful with any questions we had about the property. If I had to change one thing it would be to stay longer.

Cozy and private getaway!
The house was cozy and fun! Super cool location. Thanks! We hope to be back! The house had everything we needed (we stayed in the late fall) and you can see that it was prepared for a great summer experience as well. The owner offers a variety of features on the lake such as a rentable pontoon, a small boat with a trolling motor, and lots of fun things on the shore including a fire pit and picnic table. The house is very nice and will comfortably sleep 4 (2 beds and 2 bunks). There are plenty of couches and sitting areas; basically 3 living rooms. The kitchen is nicely stocked and includes a fridge, dishwasher, and older stove.

This rental was absolutely amazing, from the views, to the host, to the overall experience! It was great waking up to the sunrise over the lake and enjoying the view on both of the decks. The host was very accommodating when we needed anything. The overall cleanliness was great! My sister and nephews enjoyed the use of the paddle boat and the accessibility to and from the lake. Will definitely keep this place in mind when we come back to visit family in the future!

Lovely Lakefront Respite
Our weeklong stay at The Copper Cottage met and exceeded our expectations! The cottage was updated and clean. The beds were extremely comfortable (very important for people over 60)! The 2 decks and spacious living area upstairs were wonderful settings for both humans and dogs to enjoy both relaxing and playing. Private lake access (with a generous sandy beach) and the use of various watercraft added to the allure of this cottage. Gliding out on the lake in kayaks we could see fish and even a turtle! The vertical trip down and back, while quite a workout, was shaded and cool. (We opted not to use the golf cart.) The quiet was what we noticed the most - occasional boats and barking dogs were the only interruptions to a quiet that we had forgotten existed! Even Labor Day weekend was peaceful! The owners live next door and, although we didn't need to contact them, their assist with starting the grill was perfectly timed. :-) We highly recommend The Copper Cottage to anyone who wants a relaxing lakeside vacation!

Perfect family vacay.
We stayed at The Copper Cottage with two adults, two kids and two doggos. Perfect spot for dogs. Perfect spot for a family or two. Our son caught so much wildlife from fish, turtles, frogs, etc. Super easy check in and great communication with the owners. We made a ton of use out of the kayaks provided. The golf cart was great to get to the beach but we walked the path several times with no issue as well. Thanks for the great stay!
