"We spent four nights in this architectural gem with huge glass windows providing extraordinary views of a secluded beach and surf. The house was so comfortable and location so pristine that we arranged to stay another day. Antonio and Merced were wonderful hosts. It is a really special place, and we hope to return."

"The house and garden were really pleasant to stay in. We particularly enjoyed the enclosed, very private and well-kept garden and the lovely thrushes on the lawn in the evening. Maria José the owner is delightful - friendly, efficient and brimming over with knowledge and enthusiasm about the area. There was a puzzling shortage of basic kitchen equipment - wine glasses and bowls in very short supply! Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

Una de las habitaciones es enana y en las "no-ventanas" que no se ven en la foto solo hay un pequeño espacio para la ventilación. Una de las habitaciones es enana, la vitrocerámica no funciona, la. nevera es pequeñísima,... Si vas solo a dormir, pase, si pretendes hacer más vida allí, olvídate. El entorno fantástico, eso sí."

The beach is just right there, never crowded, with rocky formations where you can spot crabs, anemones, fish, lots of different mollusks, and starfish (if you pay attention and are lucky; yes, I am a biologist :-); the kids loved it. We arrived 14.08 just on time for the town's fest and had "bad luck" because the near town of Cee was also having its annual festivity and supermarkets were closed. So we had to "sacrifice"...

"The house is located out in the country up an interesting 1 track paved road. Very quiet and comfortable. No amenities nearby, but great base for exploring the coast, which is beautiful. Nice, intimate beach is short walk down the hill. House and beds are comfortable and new. Kitchen is nicely equipped and the market in Noya is Sunday and Thursday. Santiago is 30 minute drive and you can get in and out to see the city, but not be in it."

"Great experience. Jose met us in person on the street to direct us to the apt and let us in. He took the time to arrange to have our luggage dropped off at the apt. since we were still on the Camino Santiago walk. Clean, tidy, and well stocked. The apt had plenty of room for 3-4 people. Great location to walk into the center of town. Highly recommend."

"Quiet area, very near sea, Great house with all you need for self catering, it is a home rather than a holiday let so it's got foosball and table tennis the kitchen has all you need to cook up great food as all the bits and pieces are not taken away at the end of each stay. Double beds are small if you are 1.85 m tall but comfortable. Everyone who stayed would recommend it to friends and family"

Manque des ustensiles de cuisine pas de casserole pas de fourchette aucun produits menager liqude vaisselle savon....juste le stricte minimum. L'hôte est tres accueillante. Si on ne contacte pas la propriétaire pour savoir ou se trouve la maison il est pas possible de la trouver. Il faudrait mettre le non de la maison a l'entrée de garage."

Seems strange that they highlighted photos of the pool but you have to make a reservation and pay a fee to use the pool, for a limited time. The pool and hot tub are within the Spa. "This hotel was a good stop along the Camino because it is self contained. It has 2 restaurants which are quite good and lots of lounge area for the guests. Our room came with breakfast which we liked because it had a good variety of choices. It was quiet at night and we would definitely stop there again if in the area even if luxurious it is not!"

"Nice quality property with friendly and helpful staff. Area is nicely wooded with a stream running along a walking path. We walked into old town and the cathedral 2.2 miles without issue. Food was good quality and reasonably priced!"

"Fantastic hotel! The operator George is amazing. He speaks great English and was incredibly accommodating. We arrived very early and he was able to get our room ready as quickly as possible. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel is right in the centre and on the Camino trail. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Caldas de Reis. "
