"A spectacular property in the midst of one of the great wine regions on the planet. The site and amenities, including the waters and spa, are wonderful. Unfortunately, the food and service, especially the food service, do not do justice to the site itself. "The hotel is an old castle high up above the valley - how fantastic is that? Wonderful character with plenty to wander around and explore. We would have enjoyed the views from the rooftop terrace had the weather been a bit warmer but we enjoyed looking around the hotel and relaxing with a drink in the main central room. There was no bar as such but drinks were available from reception and we had a great meal in the restaurant. Good service throughout our stay."
