Great location, tired property
Stayed 2 nights, that was enough. Love looking right out at Salmon Creek,ducks, geese, herons and egrets all enjoy the slow moving water. But the house is tired and in need of work. In the bathroom the area between the tub and the synthetic wall panels is black with mold. The huge furniture has lost the padding and is not comfortable. The gas fireplace did not turn on, but the gas wall heater did a good job of keeping the place warm.

Quaint Getaway Spot
The location is amazing for any nature lover and beach goer. Very cozy dwelling stocked with linens, cooking supplies, games and basic household items. The bed is very comfortable and the heater works well. The place was incredibly clean!

Perfect couple getaway with dog
Adorable cabin right on the creek. It had all the necessities, enough kitchen stuff to cook a bit there, and plenty of blankets and space heaters to stay cozy on cold evenings. During the day, it's a close walk to a state beach (not dog friendly) or short drive to other beaches, hiking, and little towns like Valley Ford and Bodega Bay. Cabin was clean and tidy with easy check in/out via text. Overall a great stay!

March getaway
This is our third or fourth visit and we love it here. Its beautiful and a great place to recoup and take it easy. Two teeny weeny things: 1) you might want to put an ant trap near the sink; 2) Don't know how I feel about the eco-pods. I really appreciate that they are earth friendly but they're also kind of weird. Anyways, great place. We will definitely return.

This was nice. Right on Salmon creek. Sit on the deck watching all the waterfowl etc. Close to town of Bodega, walking trails and beaches close by. Perfect you 2 and your pet.

Cozy & Quiet
This house has most everything that you would need. Two different sources of heat windows that open from the top down to let in the cool ocean breezes which you can hear. You can hear the ocean. Nice areas to walk to. Lots of wild life to watch. Very cozy couch to curl up on and read a book or take a nap.

We loved everything about this place except the salmon creek beach that is within walking distance and does not allow dogs, that is not really a complaint since it is out of anybody's control. This place is small but wonderful and completely accommodating for a party of two. Loved it and will be back. Thank you, Clinton

Another great stay
We had a great stay at Mar-Tiny, our third. It was a bit of a challenge though, severe rain and wind knocked the power out, so no lights or hot water for 24 hours. Then the high tide came way up keeping us from getting to our car. We eventually made it out for more supplies and many walks to the beach.

Adorable beach cottage with great deck view
We loved our stay at this sweet beach cottage! The deck is great to sit and enjoy morning coffee while watching the birds and deer and listening to the ocean. The only issue we had was that we couldn’t get the hot water to work in the sink or shower. Other than that we had a great stay.

Great place, but ant colony in house and Vacasa ignores calls
The location and area is great. We loved it. One issue was that there is an ant colony int the chair and ottoman inside the house . Vacasa has been remorseful in helping me deal with this. Text, calls and empty promises.

Little shack near the creek
This little place does not look like much from the outside, but when you open the door you enter a sweet little one bedroom. The overhead sky lights and decor make it warm and welcoming. The internet is spotty, so if you plan on jumping on your computer or watching a lot of TV you may need a back up. Lovely place by the water. We got to watch kayakers, water fowl, fish, otters and more from the balcony as we sipped our coffee or enjoyed a glass of wine. The area is very peacefull.

Can’t beat the location
Beautiful spot right on the creek that definitely lives up to its photographs in the listing. Really the only trouble we had was with the furnishings; other reviews mention how comfy the couch was, but it was really soft and broken down for us. It was so uncomfortable that we went into Santa Rosa to buy a chair for me. The dining chairs are super rickety also. And the mattress was uncomfortable for both of us. But honestly, in better weather, we would mostly be spending time on the deck or on day trips anyway. It was storming a lot of the time we were there in January and it was a really cozy spot to watch the rain. The location makes up for all that, so I would still definitely recommend it.

Nice stay but some recommendations..
We had a great stay at this property. The location was what made it for sure. Recommendations I have for the owners are as follows: Place address numbers on the house so it's easier to find, have a deep cleaning for dust and spider webs, place warnings of toxic water on site and have binder with information on checking out. There was no coffee maker as advertised in amenities. Overall the place was cute and location awesome. With a few additions this place would be amazing.

Property was cute and cozy as described however, the closet blankets Have m living room were dirty, ( dog blankets? ) no internet (as states it has internet before you reserve the home) fireplace s did not work! One of the BIGGEST reasons why we picked this place was because it had a fireplace - Followed instructions for the tee and fireplace flame did not light - disappointing

Wonderful Cottage on Salomon Creek
The cottage is right on Salmon Creek and a about a 10 minute walk to the beach. We stayed there with our 11 year old yellow lab and were entertained by the Canadian Geese and two River Otters off the deck. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. The cottage was well equipped and had everything thing we needed. The property description is accurate. We could not get the gas fireplace to light. Tracy, the property manage was great and sent a maintenance person over but he could not get it to light either. That was a little disappointing but the wall heater was sufficient to keep the place comfortable. There is WiFi in the cottage, however we couldn’t get it to work initially, but after speaking with Tracy we determined that the checkin e-mail had the wrong Network ID and password. Tracy provided the proper info and the WiFi worked fine. The propane bbq worked fine and there was a spare propane tank. Over all we had a great time and will stay there again.

Absolutely as advertised - simply great
Very high marks for cleanliness & accuracy of the posting. The site is wonderful. The patio hangs over Salmon Creek, with water fowl swimming by all day. Low light too, so the stars were very visible. You can walk to the beach in 5 minutes. Big refrigerator & freezer. Gas stove, but no oven. There was a toaster oven. Comfortable bed. Very nice for 2. Three might have been too many. Easy access & lots of room for one car. We arrived thinking there would be no wifi or internet, and at times it was so weak as to be useless, but we did have connection (slow) most of the time, and were able to stream Netflix. I had trouble connecting with the rental agency by phone, but their text worked fine. The 4 pm check-in is firm. The cleaning staff had their car parked in the parking site until 3:45. We had a (for Bodega Bay) a very hot day, but the afternoon breeze cooled the place down very quickly. A/C does not appear to be needed. There is no "operational" info, so you have to figure out how things work. A bit of a hassle. I think the stove has to be lite the old-fashioned way - with matches, but w/o the info, I wasn't sure. We did not use the stove, or the gas grill on the patio. The grill's gas tank was heavily rusted. Heat came on automatically in the morning. I guess that's how the thermometer was set. We REALLY liked this place!! Coastal walks at Wrights Beach & Shell Beach are fantastic. So are the hikes at the Bodega Bay headlands.

Perhaps the property has been neglected and/or not rented for several months. We needed to contact the local Vacasa rep several times. She was quick to respond, however there were some issues. The overhead/ceiling fan was non-functioning and many of the windows wouldn't open or wouldn't close. And those that could open didn't open very far (2 or 3 inches), so it was stuffy. We opened the French doors and two birds immediately flew in the living room. Weird that no one has mentioned starlings flying in before. One left after about an hour, the other the next day. The stove needed matches for the burners to ignite and there was one box of matches with 10 or so matches in it. The BBQ lighter (the rep suggested we use that) was no where to be found. The refrigerator froze our milk and vegetables. The hemp rug in the living room is lovely and very thick but we kept tripping over it, so we rolled it up and moved it. There was so much dirt and sand underneath it and while we cleaned that up, it was surprising to see. It says there is room for two cars to park, but there is space for only one car. There is street parking down the road at the beach if you are bringing a second car. The view is lovely, weather was good, the home was decorated nicely, location what we wanted (we have stayed at other rentals in Salmon Creek over the years), but this cottage's amenities were disappointing. Perhaps it would work for others, but we left a day early.
