"Our 2 night stay at the Penina was the highlight of our trip to Portugal. Every member of the team were so friendly and welcoming. The room was spotlessly clean, the grounds and facilities at the pool were wonderful. The food in the Henry Cotton restaurant was excellent. We played tennis and the golf course was amazing and excellent value. We would definitely recommend and we are already planning to return to the Penina next year. "I dont think that the hotel is a 5 star hotel. Its a very good 4 star. Its very remote regarding access to external amenities. There was confusion about the 20 euro food credit which took 4 conversations to obtain, even then the system couldn't produce a receipt for the balance. "
