"We’ve had a wonderful week here. The pool is fantastic especially as temperatures were in the high 30s, thankfully inside the house remains cool. The garden is huge and beautiful with secure fencing allowing our dog to safely explore. Marie is welcoming and friendly, the perfect host. The house is lovely and very well equipped. The location is remote and peaceful but an easy drive to the next village for groceries and 2 bakeries."

It was situated at the head of a farm track leading into fields of corn and sunflowers. The gite was spacious and clean and the bedrooms comfortable. It was good to have 2 bathrooms. "We stayed in pillac with 10 adults from 74 to 34, and 9 children aged between 2 and 18 and what a holiday we had! The house is perfectly set up for family groups as each lot can take a "wing". A really well equipped kitchen enabled us to have wonderful meals at home... meat cooked by the boys and wonderful salads cooked by Barbara's friend. Barbara was super helpful and very easy to contact the whole time. The village was gorgeous but tiny..... about a 10 minute drive for any grocery shopping....

Fantastic place to stay

"The property was very well located, being close to the town of Chalais with a decent size Intermarche and Monday market. "We had two lovely week holiday at The Chai and cannot fault anything. Anne and her husband are the perfect hosts-friendly, welcoming and happy to provide ideas and advice for places to visit. They were always available but never intrusive. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and was spotlessly clean. We loved the pool (it was an ideal temperature) and the plentiful children's games were a bonus. The garden was perfect for the children to play in too, enclosed and lots of space for them to run around. Have to mention the views and the beautiful sunsets as well! Highly recommend a stay here.
