"Liked cleanliness of apartment- everything worked fine. Excellent location for walking into Plaza Major and Old City. Food options very close too. "Juan Carlos’ house is a lovely property. Nicely modern, but with lots of historic features. The pool is fairly small, but great for us and our four children to plunge into to cool off in the 42 degree heat. Bedrooms were good sizes. Kitchen was not large, but was well equipped (a larger bin inside would be good). Would also be lovely in winter due to wood pellet burning stoves throughout. Village is fairly small, but some lovely restaurants and smaller bars. Cheap to eat out. No good...

"Parking is off site, so be prepared to lug your suitcases for a bit of a walk. The hotel, however, is amazingly nice. The rooms are slightly above average, but the building itself is a 14th century masterpiece. Breakfast is decent. The little lounge cafe is great to have for an afternoon tea or evening cocktail. The annual medieval festival was underway during our stay. I woke up to parishioners singing at 6am mass. It was a very memorable experience "

"Great location for access to downtown. The street is old-school residential style, within reasonable walking distance to the main attractions and many kinds of eateries. There is noise on the street, but that comes with the territory. The management was extremely nice and responsive, which made me feel even more at ease. If there is one not-so-nice thing I could say is that I should have paid better attention at the description of my room, but it was more my fault than theirs. At the end it didn't have a private bathroom like I thought I'd have, but a shared one instead - and it smelled like it had no ventilation whatsoever. I'd stay there again, just getting a better room."

"Excellent location, service and accommodations. The breakfast was nice. This was my second time staying at this property, and I enjoy their service and the continuity of staff. The hotel is an old Castle that has been modernized for the use of a hotel, and it is simply wonderful, which adds to the experience. They have onsite parking, and have an overflow lot at the top of the hill. Make sure and follow the parking directions given by the hotel, to use the right address, or be very observant and follow the signs, because blindly following GPS could have you on the very narrow streets at the top of the hill, which is not for the faint of heart. I had no complaints and highly recommend this hotel. Be well!"
