"Despite it being very low season and most of St Valery sur Somme being shut for annual holidays, we had a lovely time. We were aware beforehand that this was the case. We have stayed at this lovey Gite before and it was fabulous then. Situated in the heart of the town it has beautiful views over the bay and is a lovely cosy fisherman’s cottage. "Character of property enhanced by decorative touches. Difficult stairs leading from entrance hall especially with cases. It was very hot at night, a fan would have been appreciated as a heatwave was forecast. Access to the host was very easy as she was in her shop below on most days."

Great position, within walking distance of beach and bars

"House not very welcoming with chairs on table like a closed cafe. Also, bowls and cups had chips and cracks in them and a few not cleaned well. Saying that, host was very responsive and helpful and answered all our questions. Location was great and house was comfortable. You have to pay for parking on all roads but spaces right outside. Lovely area for cycling"
