Apart 1 (Sleeps 4/6) Overlooking Etang De Thau Bouzigues, Languedoc-Roussillon

Originally a fisherman's cave, we have developed this property into 2 modern, well equipped, light, airy apartments with sunny terraces. This apartment has wonderful views over the Etang de Thau, Balaruc, Sete and surrounding hills. The apartment is minutes from the sandy beach, port and the waterfront cafés and restaurants. The water of the Etang is safe, clean and warm and is ideal for young children.

Apartment 1 sleeps 4/6, 2 bedrooms, 1 with double bed and 1 with twin beds. Double convertible sofa in lounge. Both bedrooms have french windows opening onto a narrow balcony with views of the Etang de Thau. Table and chairs offer a sunny spot to take a morning coffee and watch village life go by. Superb views over the port and water to Sete.
Quality, light, airy apartment with large french windows opening onto spacious, very well equipped terrace and outdoor living space overlooking our mediterranean garden, the old village and surrounding hills. Ideally situated in the traditional, charming Bouzigues fishing village, 100m from the waterfront/port, 150m from beach. The accommodation has English and French television and good internet connection. A short walk through the picturesque village takes you to the boulangerie, grocers, newsagents, Post Office, ice-cream parlour, craft shops, savonnerie and bars. There is a very good pharmacy and medical centre in Bouzigues. The restaurants and cafés lining the waterfront specialise in the local seafood (oysters and mussels). Bouzigues has a small museum, a well equipped children's play area and a farm/zoo. A good local bus service . The cycle track from Meze to Balaruc passes local beauty spots, notably areas of the Etang inhabited by flamingoes.

Situated in Paradise
We thought the situation and flat itself would match what we were hoping for and it exceeded our expectations in every way. Set in a quiet unspoiled village , no high rise buildings or noisy clubs to mar the peace and beauty. Loads of lovely retaurants within an easy walk. Also little beach 3 minutes walk away, where swimming is wonderful in the very clean and calm Bassin de Thau, with the most beautiful views in all directions.( It would be fantastic for children) The accommodation was excellent and we loved the large outside area which we used all the time. Contact with the owners was easy and they were so helpful when our return flight was delayed 2 days due to an accident at the airport. We were able to stay on which reduces our stress levels considerably.Thankyou so much. We truly felt everything was pretty much perfect and we certainly would love to return.

We had a fab stay. The apartment was great for our little one who even learned to walk there! Everything is super close and beaches we're quiet and safe. Joanna was super responsive and easy to get hold of both before and during our stay.

Très bel endroit
Nous avons réservé ce gite pour nos 2 enfants et 3 petits enfants alors que nous faisions une cure à Ballaruc les bains. Enfants et petits enfants ont été enchanté par l'appartement et l'ambiance village de Bouzigues en cette période automnale. Nous les avons rejoint les soirs pour partager repas et distractions. Super séjour à Bouzigues chez Joana and John !
Nous avons beaucoup aimé notre semaine dans l'appartement de Joanna and John. Celui-ci est très agréable à vivre, bien agencé et très joliment décoré. La grande terrasse offre un plus considérable, elle permet de vivre dehors, qui plus est à l'abri du soleil. L'appartement est traversant, ce qui permet d'aérer en période de chaleur. Enfin, Joanna and John sont très chaleureux, rendant le séjour plus agréable encore. Un grand merci à eux. Laurence et Jean Paul.

Alles, was man braucht
Die Wohnung in Bouzigues ist ausgestattet mit allem, was man braucht und selbst im Hochsommer noch angenehm kühl trotz fehlender Klimaanlage. Die Terrasse lädt zum Verweilen im Schatten ein, mit Ausblick auf den schönen Garten der Vermieter. Das Badezimmer ist extrem klein; mit vier Personen kann es ein wenig eng werden. Es gibt keine Spülmaschine, sodass man während seines Urlaubs viel Zeit mit Spülen verbringt. Die Wohnung war sehr ordentlich, jedoch nicht blitzeblank sauber. Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist sehr schön: man kann zu Fuß mehrere Strände am Étang erreichen, es gibt viele Restaurants und kleine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und abends ist es dennoch ruhig, sodass man mit offenem Fenster schlafen kann. Insgesamt haben wir uns in der Wohnung wohl gefühlt. Wenn man sich darauf einstellt, eine kleine Unterkunft zu haben, die schön eingerichtet aber nicht brandneu und luxuriös ist, kann man hier eine sehr schöne Zeit verbringen - insbesondere für diesen Preis.

L'Etang de Thau
Appartement situé au 1er étage d'une petite maison de village à deux pas de l'Etang. Très agréable avec une belle terrasse au-dessous d'un charmant jardin méditerrannéen privatif. Nous étions 4 adultes(c'est la maximum pour la surface de l'appartement). Les seuls points négatifs : salle de douche très fonctionnelle, mais très exigüe intégrant aussi les toilettes. Obligation de faire tourner le lave-linge avec draps, serviettes et torchons en partant. Nous avons donc apporté toute notre literie et serviettes. Le village de Bouzigues est vraiment paisible et les couchers de soleily sont superbes.

L'appartement est bien situé, à proximité du port, du musée de l'étang de Thau, d'un sentier du littoral et des restaurants. Par contre, propre en apparence, il y a en fait beaucoup de poussière sur les meubles et sous les lits, plan de travail et ustensiles de cuisine collants. Au niveau des équipements, il y a bien une cafetière, mais inutilisable (fiche électrique anglaise sans adaptateur). La salle de bains avec wc ( qui fuit) est minuscule. Enfin, les draps et linge de toilette sont fournis mais il est demandé de les laver en fin de séjour(!)

Maison agréable, belle terrasse ( mais impraticable à cette saison bien sûr) et calme parce que nous étions en hiver. L'été ? ( bruits des restaurants de la proximité du port ? ). Ménage succinct et salle d'eau vieillissante... Manque qqs ustensiles : grille-pain, sèche-cheveux, casseroles (?). Laver les draps en partant est curieux : peu d'endroit de séchage ? Humidité ? Ensemble correct malgré les bémols.
