"The gite was very clean and comfortable, and everything was provided that we needed. The owner, Fabien, was very helpful, before and during the holiday, offering suggestions of places to visit and telling us about the history of the region.Great hospitality was shown to us. We appreciated our visits to both local and regional venues such as Nimes,Uzes, and the Cevennes National Park, and the pool was a great asset to us on very hot afternoons. Overall we had a wonderful stay. Merci Fabien."

"La maison est jolie, surtout la terrasse dont nous avons bien profité. Les hôtes sont sympathiques et accueillants, la communication était facile. La piscine était un peu froide et un peu profonde avec de jeunes enfants mais nous en avons profité tout de même. Une erreur dans l'annonce : il était écrit que la deuxième chambre disposait de plusieurs lits, mais il n'y avait qu'un lit double. Nos filles n'ayant pas l'habitude de dormir ensemble ça a été un peu compliqué mais pas insurmontable !"

"We zijn gebleven voor 1 nacht en daarbleef het bij algehele indruk slecht niet schoongemaakt veel spinnen webben en als we er vragen over hebben dan. Krijgen we als antwoordt dat dit bij frankrijk hoort.zwembad op de foto is niet daar aanwezig maar vijf minuten lopen en sterk vervuild. Veel zaken in de gite zijn kapot bij binnenkomst wordt er nog snel een lamp grplakt met contact lijm. Bij het verlaten van wc breekt de klink van de deur. "Le gîte est très beau, très conforme aux photos. Très proche d'Ales, mais déjà dans la campagne. Très grande terrasse donnant sur la piscine et le jardin. Le village est un petit coin de tranquillité mais situé a quelques minutes seulement du village des vans ou vous trouverez les commerces et restaurants. "We had booked this house, but after going to pick up the keys and seeing the property, decided that it was not suitable for our group. There was insufficient information on the site regarding the situation of the house - the map link was wrong and we had some difficulty finding the location (did not receive instructions from the host despite request). The house keeper requested several hundred Euro up front to cover cleaning fees, and bedding (not clearly stated on the information that bed linen and towels not provided), and a cheque to cover potential damage. This was not signalled at booking. The house set up meant that two rooms either had no easy access to a bathroom, or where loo paper had to be put in a bin (septic tank, I presume). This layout was also not clear from the listing. There were a number of things in the house that were flagged as broken that we should not use as they had been damaged by the previous renter. We were also told that we should only use the barbeque if we were prepared to pay a 100Euro fine if it was not considered to be adequately cleaned. The house sleeps 12, but access to the property up a steep single track, with no passing places and with limited space for parking at the house meant that it would be impossible to park and turn round three cars. This was also not obvious from the listing, and it would significantly help future renters to have better information on access clearly stated. "
