This is a lovely European hotel. The staff was welcoming, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The building is 400 years old so the layout is a bit quirky. There is no elevator but the room had all the modern amenities. There are ground floor rooms. There was a spiral staircase to our first floor room. The hotel is centrally located. We walked from the train station to the hotel and from the hotel to the river cruise dock.

This hotel is in the middle of everything- we walked everywhere. The Louvre is a couple of blocks away and there are eateries close by everywhere you turn with lots of Asian restaurants. The metro stops are also close by. Yet the hotel is quiet and cozy. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The room is small (European standard) but clean with daily housekeeping a plus. Not a fan of the half door shower stall though as taking a shower means flooding the room. The room we got also had a glitchy card reader that barely worked for room lights. Else it was a wonderful stay and we would stay there again.

"A very unique hotel and room but I enjoyed it - I was comfortable and the service was friendly. The breakfast was light by big hotel standards but coffee, bread and other fare were good! Like many other hotels the room is for sleeping not for lounging but the common areas are very inviting."

"Pleasant stay for a last minute booking. Friendly service, and great breakfast. Confortable room too. Quite expensive compared to same brand hotel in St Etienne."

Terrible meal!
"We decided to splurge and enjoy a nice dinner in the restaurant. The service was a bit slow alrhough they were not very busy. We ordered the dinner with three services. The first course was ok. But the main dish was almost not edible. My piece of beef, described to us as slow cooked for many hours ..."
