"We had a wonderful stay at the Marasusa complex in Parghelia. We found the apartment a little ‘tired’ and under equipped - a small saucepan, garlic press, larger dinner plates and better cutlery knives would help. The towels provided were clean but seemed very old and the pillows should have had pillow protectors on them. "The hot water in the shower did not work for most of our stay, the issue was flagged multiple times but only resolved on the last day. One of the days we had to boil water to shower as hot water was not working at all. A somewhat adequate compensation was initially offered but later he changed the terms, saying extra charges for linen and towels "were being waived" and that was part of our compensation, however, at the time of booking and writing this review there is no mention of said charges...

"This place is simply incredible! My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights and were so impressed with the hotel and incredible views over the Tyrrhenian Sea. The resort was clean and safe, the beds very comfortable and the staff always friendly and helpful. The terrace is absolutely pristine and we felt like we had it all to ourselves at times during our October visit. The historic old town centre with plenty of restaurants and shopping is a short 7-8 minute walk away. Check out the Santuario Santa Maria dell'Isola and the beautiful sand beaches surrounding it. Shout out to Selena, Pawel the bartender and all the staff for making this trip such a memorable experience. This place will not dissapoint you and we look forward to coming back to Tropea and staying at Hotel Rocca Della Sena in the near future."
