"We had the most wonderful stay at Brownstown Lodge. We were a family of 7 adults and this was our first trip to Ireland. We wanted a home base to make day trips from and Brownstown Lodge was absolutely perfect for us! the house is lovely, the property so peaceful, the view perfection. The house lends itself to privacy if you want it and togetherness when you want that. We would absolutely stay here again. Thomas was so helpful with information prior to our arrival. The house was spotless, the beds perfectly comfortable. We were able to enjoy a family meals together and conversation around the fireplace. I can't recommend this home enough. It was exactly what we were looking for. Thank you so much, Thomas, for making our first visit to Ireland so wonderful. We will be back."

"We have just checked out of this beautiful hotel and couldn't have asked for a more perfect stay! The staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and has everything you need, the conjoined pub 'The Crows Nest' next door serves a fabulous menu and all the locals are very chatty and always so friendly. We were sad to check out as we had such a wonderful two days but would love to return in the future!"

"What can I say about this hotel that hasn’t already been said? It was simply amazing. We took a break from our family heritage tour and headed north of Galway to stay at The Lodge at Ashford Castle—and I’m so glad we did. One of the highlights was the Hawk Walk, offered by Ireland’s School of Falconry right on the property. My husband loved it. The hotel offers other experiences as well, and there are 350 acres of trails to explore. They even provide a trail map so you can plan your route. The estate includes lakes and streams for fishing and boating, and the views from the Lodge are breathtaking. Although we stayed at the Lodge, which is a fraction of the cost of Ashford Castle, we were treated as full guests of the entire estate. We had access to everything the castle offers. The service was excellent—professional and warm. Paul at the Lodge handled everything from luggage to transportation around the estate, always with a smile. Clarissa at the front desk and Vorchek at breakfast were also wonderful. Our room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the pillows were amazing. My only suggestion: consider adding a door between the kitchen and dining room to reduce noise. It was loud and we asked to be moved and we were accommodated. I'm so glad we were because the meal was a solid 10. Thank you to the chef and kitchen team. This hotel was a highlight of our trip.
