"6 of us spent 2 wonderful days hiking in and around Gimmelwald, including the cable car to the Schlithorn. The town was much more quaint than Murren and had amazing views from our deck. We stopped at the store in Lauterbrautten to get groceries and created our own breakfasts and packed lunches."

"The place is currently 20 feet from a major construction site (Next Door). The construction workers started everyday at 7:00 AM and lasted almost until 7:00 PM (19:00). In the morning you get "wiped off your bed". We think that it is very unfair that the responsible for this site posting did not indicate anything. "The house was very cozey, and convenient location. However the communication between the hostes and I were poor. As I was only told as that we need to bring our own towels and linen for bedding after we had arrive and I asked where it was!!! Very inconvenient trying to find these items in a small town, let alone after 7pm also!! Other then that, it's a lovely place to stay!!"
