HISTORICALLY SIGNIFICANT ACCOMMODATION: Tibbets on Tillot is a historical Queensland Cottage believed to have been built circa 1883. It was first owned by Edward Deighton (a clark in the Colonial Architect's office) and was part of Deighton Estate which was basically the triangle of land that sits between Old Ipswich Road (now Gladstone Road), Boggo Road (now Annerley road) and Gloucester Street. Tillot Street where your accommodation is located was named after Edward's mother (Tillot is her maiden name). Tibbets on Tillot is also named after Sarah Tibbets (a resident from 1925-1933) who demonstrated a sassiness and naughtiness often frowned upon for a woman of that time.
ACCOMMODATION FEATURES: Tibbets on Tillot is a bike friendly, dog-friendly self contained space with a large main bedroom, separate living/dining, bathroom, laundry facilities, full kitchen and patio opening to a lush tree-filled back yard. The yard is fully fenced and secure with a separate entry to the main house.
