Relaxing stay at a classic outback propery
'Vanilla Sky' is a wonderfully renovated miner's cottage in a quiet and picturesque part of Broken Hill. Spacious inside and out and well equipped, this is an unmistakably outback experience- in heart of the town!

Our staff have stayed at this property several times. The property is in a great location for us, clean and accessible for our work vehicles, and it's our staff's number one pick when they travel. The host is always available and has great communication.

lovely spacious homestead. comfy beds.
We were only there one night, but the place had everything we needed. Only one bathroom, but it was new and spacious (could use a heater, but otherwise exceptional). Kitchen fine, great choice of tea, and plastic wine glasses for champagne up at the sculpture garden were appreciated. Easy check in and check out..

We really loved the layout and relaxing spaces at this property. It had off street, secure parking for our vehicle. It was within walking distance of the town. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to our friends.

Overall a disappointing stay. Very basically furnished, old bed linen and towels. Beds very uncomfortable. Some appliances didn't work and pots/saucepans not usable due to baked on grime. Fencing not escape proof for small dogs. Charging a premium rate for an average property.

The property served as a home base for our stay while we checked out some sites in the Broken Hill and Silverton districts. A very tidy, comfortable home with more than enough space and utilities. Great communication with check-in and check-out. If you don't mind a walk, to and from the main street will take you past some historical buildings and structures and the walk will seem effortless. If there was a downside it would be, we should have stayed longer. I honestly have no negatives on this home! Highly recommend to anyone.

Great base from which to explore Broken Hill & Surrounds
We had a fabulous stay at this property, which had absolutely everything we could need. Kid-friendly and spacious with plenty of living space for all. Off-street parking down the back. Full kitchen facilities including an array of spices. BBQ and firepit. Communication from our host was prompt and accurate and we had no issues whatsoever. We’d happily stay here again - perfect for a short or prolonged stay, with friends or family

A great home away from home
We had a great stay in this very comfortable home. It was excellent location with everything we needed. We lived exploring Broken Hill and surrounds with the absolute highlight being the Mutawinji heritage tour with Mark. Highly recommend all the highlights of the town

We had a great time. The yard was spacious which suited us parking 3 cars plus trailer. Inside was great too. It's a drive to shops and restaurants but that is no worries.

Two nights as part of an outback road trip.
The house is lovely - spacious and well resourced. Beautiful verandah right around the front and sides and a big deck at the back. The property is pet friendly which is great but it is not secure - there are large gaps under the gates particularly at the back and my dog escaped. Wandering the streets at night in a place I don't know looking for my dog was pretty scary. If the gaps could be attended to, the place would be ideal.

Glorious home in Broken Hill
Excellent communication from the outset, delightful property with great outdoor spaces and well set up indoor areas. Big stovetop, with reasonably solid kitchen utensils/pots/pans. A lovely touch was the various spices, which were great to have as one wouldn’t take them all travelling! Bedrooms all neat and tidy, with some cute artworks featuring through the house. The fire pit out the back made for a fun night roasting marshmallows, too. We were out and about, but had we been home due to rain or other inclement weather, theTV room was great, with a massive, comfy couch and cozy firebox. Would stay there again without hesitation!
