An inflatable air mattress is available for 2 extra....This cute home provides a master loft suite, 3 ocean-view deck areas, a fire pit area, a chicken coop (for your fresh eggs in the morning) :-) a newer BullFrog spa/hot tub on our lower, ocean view deck, and a 5 minute walk to our famous Sporthaven Beach. The mouth of the beautiful Chetco River and the Port of Brookings/Harbor are just a very short walk away..... enjoy the amazing outdoor activities here, as they offer so much family fun and beauty! Our amazing and awesome Redwood National Forest is only 20-25 miles away to the south. This beautiful 45 mile coastal range is known as the Wild Rivers much to explore!!! The Chetco River.... Smith River, the beautiful and rustic Winchuck River... are all local and close by, ready to explore, fish, hike and view. The beautiful and wild Rogue River and the rustic Pistol River are just 25-28 miles away to the north on Highway 101. These Wild Rivers offer camping, hiking, biking, and rafting. Oh....And the fishing!! Brookings is known for excellent salmon fishing! Ocean fishing can be chartered here and offer seasonal chinook salmon, cod, rock fish, crab and tuna. Don’t forget Whale Watching! Charter a whale watching tour down in our port, provided by "Tidewinds Sportfishing" The local rivers offer salmon and trout fishing (professional guides available) as well as swimming, snorkeling and rafting. If you enjoy golf, our beautiful Salmon Run Golf Course is just minutes away up the Chetco River. In the summer, if it’s foggy at the beach?...Travel 1-2 miles up these rivers and you’ll find sunny and much warmer temperatures for swimming, snorkeling and rock-jumping enjoyment! Traveling north on Highway 101, you’ll see an incredible amount of scenic lookouts, viewpoints, and hiking/biking options to explore... like Lone Ranch Beach, Whaleshead Beach, Arch Rock, House Rock, Cape Ferrello (a famous whale watching area) Indian Sands, Cape Sebastian (another popular whale watching spot), and the tallest bridge in Oregon....Thomas Creek Bridge viewpoint (all within 20 miles north on Highway 101!).
If you have kids, there is an indoor/outdoor aquarium just 28 miles south on Highway 101, in Crescent City, CA. Oceanworld is a fun spot for the kids to see indoor aquariums, pick up souvenirs, and pet a leopard shark. They also have a cute sea Lion exhibit sure to make you laugh!
Due to Covid19, we require detail cleaning after each stay, check in time has been to change to 4pm.
Landscaping and waste management will be maintained during your stay. Someone will be by to water, work in the yard, feed and water the chickens, tend to the garden and take the garbage out during your stay after 11am on any given day of the week.
