Peacefull hilltop cottage with huge ocean views!

A hilltop setting among the pines, great for a romantic get-a-way or a serine, getaway for the individual. The property is extremely private with expansive ocean views from every window and a relaxing patio for sunsets. Above the fog line (usually). 3 miles to the beach and 4 to town. Many guests find themselves, just hanging out, a very relaxing and soothing property. Many birds including Pileated woodpecker and Quail. Incredible night skies! Very, very clean (my wife) and comfortable. See photos. Every year we plant new flowers, lots of new improvements, new heating system, new hot water heater, new bed and bedding and new paint. As hosts, we respect your privacy and will strive to make you as comfortable as possible.

Pictures don’t do this adorable place justice. The cabin is both cozy and spacious, and the flowers all around the property are gorgeous. And you can’t beat the view. Steven and Beth were fantastic hosts and we felt very welcome.

Great location

This was a great place to stay. The location was beautiful and peaceful. The towels were wonderful. The bed was comfy. Host communicated great. I enjoyed a day of hiking in the redwoods and this was the perfect place to relax after.

This cottage had an amazing view in a quiet area. Great getaway with all the amenities, a comfortable bed, and lots of hot water. Central to all we wanted to explore, it was in a great location for beaches and the forest. Top notch, would recommend to anyone.

Lovely place with a beautiful view! We loved the outdoor bar overlooking the mountains and ocean. Steven gave us a great tip on where to buy crab right off the boat! Great place to stay!!

Charming Hilltop Cottage

The cottage is so charming and perfectly appointed with everything one needs to relax and feel at home.The view from the cottage's many windows is beautiful and even though our stay was during a torrential rain storm we enjoyed the coastal landscape and local eateries.Steven and Beth were fantastic hosts!We hope to return in the future.

Great Getaway for Any Weather

We stayed for the weekend and while we were hesitant about it being October weather, the temperatures inside and outside were enjoyable. The fog rolled in and obscured the ocean view, but the closeness with nature remained. We really enjoyed the landscaping with all the flowers, hummingbirds, and even tomatoes. It was the perfect weekend escape.

Mountain majesty

Beautiful detached cabin with gorgeous sunset views. Hummingbirds to greet you and quiet to surround you. Easy to get to town but hust as easy to isolate. Steven was easy to chat with when needed, and everything was as listed. Would love to stay again!

2nd Anniversary

What a beautiful hidden gem. Host were great. The atmosphere was spectacular. Felt like home. The view was breathtaking, hummingbirds all around. Last day a mother deer and her kids came by to say good bye. Definitely a place to relax and rejuvenate.

Awesome Place to Stay!

This true gem is close to 5-7 min from downtown Brookings. My spouse and I booked this great space for a long weekend. It’s beautiful, calm and quiet with a charming outdoor space to view the ocean from atop the hill. Lovely lighted patio with flowers to watch the sunset! Such a great space and well appointed. Very comfortable bed and great furnishings. Hosts are on site. Welcoming and there if needed but very respectful of space and your privacy. One of the most pleasant, restful stays we’ve had at a VRBO property and we’ve stayed at many. If I could give 10 stars I would! Book this great property with confidence!

We enjoyed our stay. The house was super clean, the bed was comfy, and the views from every room are incredible. It truly is where the mountains meet the sea. Expansive sky views for stargazing and huge ocean views with spectacular sunsets. Perfect location, close to the best hiking and beaches. The owners live next door, but they are not clingy or intrusive. Great house with great amenities. sunsets

Beautiful weekend getaway!

The house was so peaceful and had beautiful views. All the windows really opened everything up. There was a sweet little bar in front of the house where we sat with our coffee each morning and watched the birds - tons of hummingbirds and swallows. We even saw a bear one morning! The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you might need to cook with. Overall, it was a great getaway for the weekend. Would definitely stay again.
