Good Service
We arrived late in the evening of 18th October and unfortunately, due to not receiving an email with the code for the key, the owner had to come and let us in. We apologised and she directed us to our room. The next morning the owner served us the most delicious breakfast, with homemade produce as well as locally sourced foods. When we checked out she gave us some chocolates. Superb, friendly service and a lovely little place which feels so welcoming. We would definitely recommend!

Excellent place to stay!
What a great place to stay, easy access to Brugge, very helpful and friendly owners/staff. The breakfast is an awesome array of homemade breads, cheeses, meats, cakes , bacon and eggs as well, all cooked on site. Rooms were nice and comfortable.

Homely stay
Hotel De Stokerij is a really lovely place to stay. The hosts are very attentive and knowledgeable. The bedrooms are comfortable and clean but lack tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast is lovely, plenty of variety with waffles and eggs made to order. The food in the restaurant is gorgeous as Jan is a top chef, including aperitifs, 3 courses and wine it isn’t cheap at around €57 per head but you are looked after all evening. The location is great with Bruges and Ostend within 20 mins drive. Overall a great place.

Most amazing place! Best kept secret!
I have been fortunate enough to stay here a few times and each time it gets better and better! The hosts are wonderful and it is close to Bruges and other areas. If you are lucky enough to come when a special dinner is prepared by the amazing Chef/Owners you will never want to leave. Amazing breakfast and everything is homemade. I would definitely go back again.

PERFECT BASE FOR CHRISTMAS MARKETS
Not just a stay in a hotel....a truly wonderful experience, thanks to Ingrid Jan and Vanessa. Their hospitality is marvellous, and the gastronomical experiences in the restaurant were just amazing. I have NEVER had evenings like that before! The hotel is ideally placed to visit Bruges, Ostend, and all the delightful coastal town's.

Excellent Themed Rooms
Staff were very friendly & helpful. The room was excellent and had a Jacuzzi bath and separate shower room with great little extra's. Would definitely stay again if we ever go back to visit Brugge which is a really easy ten mile drive into the city. One of the best rooms we have ever stayed in, and at a reasonable price as well !!!

Fantastic hospitality
The hotel is located a little bit outside of Brugge, in rural surroundings. When we arrived, we got the most warm welcome I had in years. We were offered a drink and something to eat. The room was amazing, with a four poster bed and a jacuzzi. When I asked for two glasses of Kir Royal, the owner went out of his way to organise a bottle of Prosecco, served in a bucket with ice, and he found a bottle of creme de cassis as well. This allowed us to make our own kir Royal in our room. We had a totally unexpected, most romantic evening in a great place where we definitely will return.

Welcoming and helpful.
Ingrid was most welcoming and helpful, even carried one of our cases to the room. She recommended a couple of eating establishments locally, once we chose she booked the bistro for us. (Good food and ambience). Each room has a theme , we were in the Ship Chandler room. Would use the hotel if we were in the area again.

cozy hotel
Hotel is really nice and so is the owner. Need car access to get here. Room is cozy but relatively small. 15-30 mins by car to Bruggs, Oostend and Gent which is very idea for 2days of stay? Would definitely consider this place if I would come again.

Great spot in the country, yet close to Brugge.
Service is the key at this cozy hotel. The owners treated us like royalty, from the welcome drink at check in, to the special anniversary champagne on ice in the candlelit room. The breakfast features homemade breads & pastries, in house smoked salmon & ham and freshly squeezed orange juice. The staff are extremely helpful in providing advice on places to explore. I would highly recommend this place to anyone & wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Lovely hotel in the countryside!
We were given the private' Antiques' room downstairs for our three night stay.. Wow! Charming and very romantic with the double spa bath in the large bathroom. The bathroom had a door, but the wall between it and the bedroom had a window with NO glass so the stereo system in the room was often used! lol! The wonderful breakfast was excellent with bucolic views of fat cows grazing in a gorgeous green field.

Excellent hotel close to Bruges
The hotel lived up to its previous reviews. We were warmly greeted by the Landlady, and offered a drink and information about Bruges where we were to visit the next day. We were then shown to our room, which had a four poster bed. Lighted candles and night lights dotted around the bedroom and large bathroom gave it a warm and romantic feel. The bed was very comfortable, and the room very clean. Breakfast was varied with plenty of local produce, and home made bread. The evening meal was excellent, although a little pricey. We would recommend this hotel, which certainly lived up to its good reviews. It is set in farmland and is only a 20 minute drive from Bruges.
