Guesthouse, NOT Hotel
This is not a hotel, it is more like a guesthouse or B&B and you pay extra for breakfast. There are only 10 rooms and they are tiny. We had a twin room, which had the toilet and shower in a a small closet. You had to squeeze into the shower, as the door could not open even half way, due to the toilet. The beds, which were meant to be twins (singles) were half the size of of a single bed. When we went to reception and explained and was told this is not a 5* hotel and we have no other rooms. The breakfast was very small continental fare costing 9 euros. Outside, they advertise the same room we booked, for 80 euros, when we asked if we could have at that price they said no. If you are looking for a hostel type feel, with B&B prices this is for you. Just do not expect to see any staff.

Hotel located at central Bruges
Marc is very friendly hotel owner and hotel room is very clean. Just a minor disappointment, the room at the hotel has no kettle. Every time when we need to use the kettle to boil hot water, we have to go to downstairs at the entrance to use the kettle and kettle kept at the pantry area. Is ok for the summer time but I think is not convenient for winter or cold weather as guests would like to make hot drink to keep warm after a long walked.

First off - the room itself was not good value for the price that we paid, as it was near-ancient and both the shower and the toilet were barely big enough to fit one person. Now, we were told by the owners that they were about to renovate it, so perhaps future guests will not have these issues, who knows... the owners did their best to make up for it, so the service was good and the complementary chocolate from the shop attached to the hotel was quite exceptional, as you'd expect in Bruges. The best aspect about the hotel is the location right in the heart of the city, within a short walking distance of most major attractions, as well as shops, bars and restaurants. If you're planning to spend a lot more time out in the city than inside the hotel, then I would recommend it, otherwise you'd have to hope that you get one of the better rooms.

very good budget hotel with great owners
this hotel offers a friendly, calm atmosphere. rooms are clean and comfortable. the owners are helpful and very friendly.exactly what you need on a city break. the rooms are the smaller size that one would expect in old buildings but are very comfortable all the same. breakfast was excellent with a wide choice. if you are looking for a relaxing stay, at a really competitive price with a really pleasing personal touch then hotel notre dame cannot be beaten.

Lovely
This was totally like living the Brugge experience in a traditional house. I loved the hosts they were so nice and accommodating. The hotel is clean and cozy. The only downside is that the rooms are upstairs and the stairs are really steep so I think people with some sort of disability should check first if they have something available downstairs. The room is tiny but has it's own bathroom and tv. The area is great to walk around, just a few minutes from the city center and the train station. The breakfast looks delicious but sadly we had to leave to catch our train so we could't make it. Definitely would stay again. oh! and the chocolate store next door is good beyond words!.

Good service and location!
Overall it was a lovely stay. Although we were in a small and old room as they were renovating, the hotel compensated this with free breakfasts. We did not really mind the small room as it was just me and my husband. Also, Brugge is such a lovely place that you don't want to wasted your time in the hotel room. The free breakfast was massive and well served! They had two staff members serving us and they were very good and approachable. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

In the heart of Bruges
Excellent location close to train station and the Markt and Burg. Family run, very helpful owners who booked restaurants on my behalf. My room at the front was fine, facilities were adequate, very clean and comfortable. If you are after a modern style hotel with gleaming décor this is not for you but it absolutely does the job and you don't spend much time in the hotel in somewhere like Bruges. The breakfast was well presented and prepared. Overall, very good value for money given the location.

I'd stay here again. Really great & convenient.
Great location. Very friendly staff. Small room with small shower stall right in the bedroom. Step out of the shower and you're at the foot of the bed. Not an issue for me but could be awkward for some. The pinpoint on hotels.com was inaccurate. It's further north up from the church, not right at the church. My reservation said breakfast was included and free. We arrived and the receptionist told us that the reservation reflected the exclusion of breakfast but that she was happy to give it to us free.

Nice Hotel Center of Brugge
I stayed here for 2 nights. If you are checking in late, call the hotel ahead of time. The owner is sometime smoking at the chocolate store next to the hotel. My room was very nice with a terrace which was beautiful. Breakfast is now included so don't pay for breakfast as a add on, its included. breakfast was great, your typical European style. The only thing i have to complain about was that the wireless internet was very weak, I couldn't get a signal in my room. I needed this to check work emails. Other than that everything else was good. Just remember its not the top of line hotel so don't except 5 or 4 star, I would put the hotel at around 2 1/2 star.

Great Location and stay
The stay was perfect, room was tastefully decorated. Loved the quaint hotel with some interesting quirks. I had help booking a good quality restaurant from them before I got to Brugge. Simple breakfast with plenty to choose from. Thanks for a great stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Notre Dame. The room was basic but good value for the price we paid. The hotel itself is as central as you can get and ideally placed for a short break. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good. We would definitely stay again.

Great price for decent small hotel.
Hotel Notre Dame is a small hotel with good rooms at a good price. The owners are friendly people who can speak English. The hotel is near the center of town and so near pretty much anything in Bruges. There is a European breakfast buffet available every day for a moderate additional cost.

You can't beat the location!
My friends and I only spent one night here, but it was very enjoyable. The location is fantastic--right off the main square with numerous restaurants. Major sights are within a very short walk. The main issue for us was parking--numerous public parking garages but it took awhile to drive to them because of the one-way streets. The owner of the hotel was lovely. She and her husband have owned the hotel only for 3 months, and they are starting renovations to the rooms. Our room was basic but comfortable, with a small but functional bathroom. Great breakfast for about €8. I would definitely stay at the Hotel Notre Dame again!

Excellent location and breakfast
The room we had wasn't great - it was quite dated and not in great condition, and the toilet was in a sort of wardrobe. This was more than compensated however by the great location (15 mins' walk from the train station and really close to the centre and all the main sites) and the breakfast, which was included in the price and included a great range of sweet and savoury items (as well as a delicious homemade chocolate spread from the chocolate shop next door). The staff were also incredibly friendly and happy to give lots of useful information about the local area.

Lovely building, tall town house, close to centre. Spiral staircase beautiful but very steep and narrow. Room v basic, but charming efficient staff, and excellent breakfast. Many good restaurants in easy walking distance. Advertised as having parking, but not so. However, underground car park just down the street at only 5.50 per 24hrs.

Cute hotel in heart of Brugge
Check in was easy and new owners very helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is adorable, it reminded of if a little BnB. Breakfast was decent - toast cereal and fruit / hams. The rooms are cute, just a room for a few nights.. The balcony was a lovely surprise looking over the street. Its walking distance to the city centre only a few mins, there's plenty of restaurants and shops and even a chocolate shop next door! It's an $8 taxi to the Brugge train station
