"My husband and I stayed in a slope side cabin so we did not get the best view (we were overlooking the parking lot). As they stated there is no indoor plumbing, But there is a nice public restroom and shower house in just up the hill. I recommend checking out the Trophy Lodge for a meal. Much better views there and fantastic food!"

"This was a good stay, I would love to return as it was a great location for ATV trail access, and a cozy place to come back to for the night. I would recommend a good deep cleaning in this cabin, as there is a cleaning fee within the rate but many dead bugs found in areas of the cabin, and what looked to be mold growing between a couple of the windows. Also the sheets looked like they had not been changed from previous visitors but we brought blankets to throw on over so not a big deal....

"Great location and proximity to Duluth and attractions. Beautiful spot on the water with deck and kayaks to use. House is very spacious with lots of various entertaining rooms. It is very dated- floors creak a lot, no central air and window units make for varying levels of cool and humidity throughout. The water is hard with a slight odor and yellowish color. Door knobs are antique and fall off occasionally. Host was very responsive but not great attention to details- a few amenities were...

"Shower didn't drain well. Shower handle was hard to figure out to get desired temperature. We enjoyed use of the kayaks and the dock. We loved having a sandy beach and fire pit. TV was very nice for watching the Olympics. Overall, the house and outdoor area met our needs very well. "

"A group of 4 adults were staying here to attend a fundraiser in the area. Easy check in and check out process. The house has amazing views of the lake! One bathroom was challenging but overall we managed. The bottom bunk bed mattress was very comfortable! The beds in the time could be updated but manageable. We enjoyed our stay."

"Stayed with a group of 14 adults. We played boardgames all weekend in the large craft room, which was amazing. The house was very well maintained, clean, and stocked with various niceties to make your stay easy. Overall a great place to stay. Our primary critique was the beds, these are all normal twin beds, so anyone over 6 foot is going to be very uncomfortable sleeping in them. They were relatively comfortable though if you fit. "The guest house is something out of a hgtv dream. The heated floors were amazing on a chilly day. The property is quiet and secluded. This is the perfect quiet place to stay when doing nothing or heading to Duluth or other northern activities. I don't really have a reason to come back to MN, but I want to invent one to come back to this little slice of heaven!"
