Liked being down by the waterfront that was pretty clean. The restaurant saloon served great food. As expected with a historic hotel, the rooms were small with limited outlets room on the bedside table and no coffee in the room. Lovely porch rocking chairs. Be prepared to lug your suitcases upstairs. Bed was very comfy.

It's an old fashioned hotel in a historic town. I'm usually just focused on getting to Cumberland island but we spent 2 nights this time at the hotel. The beds were marvelously comfortable and the meals were excellent. The staff were great. Thanks so much!

This is a historic hotel and my husband and I over the years have stayed the night on our way to camp at Cumberland Island. This time friends and I stayed before and after the island trip at the hotel. So we were able to better focus on the hotel. Very nice stay. Quiet and loved the river view from our room. Also, loved the history of the hotel and how well preserved it has been kept. George welcomed us and he was a very nice gentleman. Loved the restaurants/shops in the quaint little town and even enjoyed a night of karaoke.
