"The environment was superb and excellent for transport connection."

"The private heated indoor pool was a real highlight for us. The host was friendly and welcoming and communication was good. The property is well-equipped and in a good location. There is a cycle path nearby that takes you into the local town. There’s a choice of local supermarkets, a McDonald’s, a park with mini golf etc. Dieppe is a nice seaside town about 45 minutes drive away, there’s a good theme park about 30 minutes away, the labyrinth maze about 10 mins away and wildlife parks etc too....

"A wonderful property and lovely hosts. Elizabeth and Jean-Christian went out of their way to welcome us. A great selection of maps and tourist information on hand for your days out. The village itself (a very short walk) is tranquil with basic amenities - Bakery, farm shop, bar, restaurant and pharmacy. The house is cosy and very well equipped for your stay. We would heartily recommend to other families. We expect we will visit again!"

However, it's easy to forgive this given obvious age and charm of the building and its lovely location. "My family and I enjoyed a wonderful stay for a long weekend away from Paris. The property is very well maintained and is well situated for exploring the Normandy area. It's great for small kids in particular, as you have a private yard with a playground and sand pit. "Overall a great stay. Just what we needed for a week of doing nothing in a cosy, beautiful big house. If you want to get away from reality for a while this is the place. House was a perfect size for me and my family! We stayed here for Christmas and it is just what we wanted. "A beautiful property with a big outdoor space. A 20-30min drive will get you to plenty of lovely walks and sites- rivers, monasteries, beaches, animal parks. There’s a farm opposite which our children enjoyed watching the tractors come and go and the cows in the fields. Supermarket is a 10min drive. Kitchen was well stocked with essentials and equipment. The housekeeper meet us on arrival and at departure and there was speedy communication when we had a power cut. A lovely stay enjoyed by all"

"Staff were excellent, a conference had just finished as we arrived and it would have been been easy to have overlooked new arrivals but the staff were excellent and ensured we were looked after well. The restaurant on site was good and offered reasonable food, bar had great selection and room enabled a good nights sleep comfortable bed. "

"High Quality hotel right in the old centre of Rouen, literally seconds from the Old Market Square The hotel is steeped in history and maintained to a very high standard. The staff were all very professional and friendly and we enjoyed the live piano in the bar on Friday night. Room was traditional in format but modern in decor / fittings. "We use this hotel en-route to Portugal from the UK. Very friendly reception staff, good breakfast and a decent burger bar and brewery beer place 30 secs walk away that is dog friendly plus a decent Italian restaurant next door (not sure about the dog friendly bit). We will stay again."
