This unique boutique hotel is perfectly situated for exploring Budapest. We had a balcony room overlooking the Main Street and close to many restaurants along the pedestrian side streets, the river and near a Hop on Hop Off bus stop. The hotel is located on the top floor with the main floors looking very tired and in need of paint and repair. However, the 4th floor hotel area was clean and we were pleasantly surprised when arrived in our room. The room was well outfitted with a safe, mini fridge, personal heat/air conditioner and modern bathroom. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. We arrived early and had a locked area to store luggage. We would stay here again.

The building and it's history was outstanding, as well as the view and location. The staff was incredibly helpful, and the free mini bottle of champagne was greatly appreciated. We will definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable and enjoyable stay
It was a wonderful stay. I have stayed in some expensive hotels during my trip. But after three weeks in Europe, it started to add up. So I picked this hotel as its was much more affordable. I was surprised with the amount of comfort I had. I enjoyed my stay here more than I did in some costly hotels. The rooms are beautiful and very clean. I arrived in the room with a bottle of champagne waiting for me. They had some good TV channels. There was always a basket with fresh apples in the lobby for the guests. The location is great!

Great hotel with great location
It was a great stay. It started with a storm outside while trying to locate the hotel. Maps gives you approximate location, meanwhile, taxi drivers drops you in most convenient place, it took time to figure out, where are those amazing gates. When you see them, you have a relief, that finally you will be in your room. Check-in process was really easy and staff is very friendly. Building itself is amazing old monument of Budapest. Room was clean, cozy and with a city view! So I was really glad. Some dust and old furniture gives the feeling, that you are a small part of this historical building. Beddig was comfortble, shower is big. In the room, I was greeted by two towel swans, sweets and a small bottle of wine (I think, it was sparkling wine. I do not drink wines, so I've never opened it). The only intersting thing was a fridge - water froze in it. I was trying to keep it cool, but it froze. To sum up, I really enjoyed this stay and I will come back.

It was a little difficult to find the entrance the first time for check in, but once we found it, it was easy. The staff were very friendly and were on hand 24/7 to help with any issues. Room was clean and tidy and had everything we required. Would definitely stay here again.

Average hotel, located at the center of the town and easily accessible. It's tough finding the entrance to the building but they give clear instructions during check-in, so just need to follow that. The room was okay, but no phone in the room to contact, so would need go down to the front desk for all requests. No shampoo or conditioner provided, needed to request it. No AC remote, the washroom floor was leaking and water was seeping through the carpet, the plugs were not staying on in the room. These concerns were raised but the front desk was pretty laid back and did not take initiatives to fix it or change the room. Front desk is available 24/7. Very friendly staff and also accommodating as they have a luggage room to store luggages after check out. Room was clean, small washroom space.

Be careful which room you get…
Welcome and service at the front desk was very good. Location is great. However, we were assigned a very poor room. Unlike most other rooms, ours was located right next to the open atrium and stairs in what is also a residential apartment building. We were thus kept awake all night with the sounds of people coming/going, talking in the stairs and lobby, sitting out in their (internal) balconies smoking and chatting. The interior of the building is all cold, hard surfaces, and so the sounds echoed everywhere. It was just too loud and noisy, and we did not sleep well. To make matters worse, the Air Conditioner in our room was broken and didn’t work. The room got very hot and stuffy, but we couldn’t open the window because of all the noise and the smoker out on her (internal) balcony next to us. Perhaps other rooms in this place are much better because they’re set back from the atrium, but this was not a pleasant stay for us, and we won’t chance our luck here again.

Great Room
Lovely room in a vintage building, near Budapest's major shopping district. Great value for the room as well. The staff was very friendly, and the room even had complimentary Hungarian sparking wine! I will definitely be back.

Good location, but loud during the day
The room was beautiful, good location near the big market and Danube, but there was loud construction on the floor below (for apartments, not the hotel), sounds of machine tools during the day; and the housekeeping staff didn't understand that their loud voices in the hallway and rooms they were cleaning were repeatedly disturbing guests. Also there was no TV signal and slate tiles on the bathroom floor were broken and uneven: if these things were fixed and construction were finished, it could be 5/5.
