Condo "the Biker" on the Arkansas river in Salida's Historic District

This new (2017), 2 bedrooms, 2.5 bath high end Condo "the Biker" is located in the heart of Salida's Historic District. Just a few steps from the Arkansas river, next to the boat ramp and the SteamPlant Event Center (very convenient if you are attending a wedding or other event!) and close to the many Salida restaurants (the Boathouse restaurant is next door, Sweeties bakery and The Biker and the Baker are across the street, all within a short 30-second walk!), shops, galleries, river park etc. Enjoy all the outdoors activities like biking, hiking, kayaking, rafting, tubing, fishing, zip lining, jeep rides and in the winter season skiing and tubing at the Monarch ski area (just a short 25-minute ride), snowmobiling and much more.
Enjoy the mountain views from the balcony (on the sunny side of the building!) or from the rooftop patio with a grill and extra seating area.
The two spacious master suites (one with a king bed, one with a queen bed) each have a separate bathroom, a large walk-in closet and each has an extra flat screen TV.
There is an additional common game room with a table tennis and foosball table.
The River Side Park and River walk are within a 1-minute walk. There is covered parking for one car in the basement (use parking space "F", not suitable for large trucks!). Ski-lockers located in the garage, use the locker labelled "F".

Great Location and Property
The Unit is the perfect place to stay in Salida. The condo has been newly refurbished with modern and high-quality finishes. Having two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms made our stay so enjoyable. This will be our go-to place to stay when visiting Salida. We recommend the Biker and Baker across the street for breakfast. So good.

This is an amazing place to stay. Not only is the location great for town and river access, but the condo is an absolute treasure. The owners are wonderful to deal with as well. Highly recommended for anybody looking to stay in Salida, you can't go wrong!

Perfect Salida Getaway
The "biker" is a fantastic property. Access and parking is easy and efficient. The kitchen was very nice and equipped with all the essentials. The cookware was better than most VRBOs. The beds were in great shape and the bedrooms and bathrooms were large and well-stocked. Overall great property and location. I would definitely highly recommend.

We were just n town for a wedding with reception at the Scout Hut. Location could not have been better. It was easy to walk to everything. We only wish our stay had been longer so we could have enjoyed the great kitchen.

Spent a wonderful few days in Salida and our stay at the Biker was fantastic! The condo is spacious, welcoming and so comfortable. It's in such a great location - can walk to everything in Salida. Loved sitting on the front porch with a view of the surrounding mountains. Will def stay here if our travels bring us to Salida again!

The perfect spot for a family getaway!!
Our family of four has made it a tradition to come to The Biker every February, and this year did not disappoint. This is the best little place to get the most out of Salida, and be right in the thick of things. The property is well-kept, very clean, and a blessing to get to come to.

Great Location and Beautifully Finished!
This condo was perfect for our quick weekend getaway with our two young kids. We loved being able to walk to the park and around downtown. The place was clean and the finishes are nice. Will definitely look at this property again for our next visit to Salida!

Great Salida Location!
We loved this condo right in downtown Salida! We could walk to great restaurants, coffee shops, bike shops, and the river was only a block away. The condo had everything we needed. The only downside was being able to hear noise from the bedroom at night and early in the morning from the street below, but we still thoroughly enjoyed the condo!

Great Condo in the Heart of Salida
We recently stayed at "the Biker" condo in Salida. This was our second time staying here and we've never been disappointed. The condo is very clean, well kept and maintained, with nice amenities to include a well stocked kitchen. It is right along the river and is within a 5 minute walk of anywhere in downtown Salida. We brought our mountain bikes and it is located very close to the trailhead on the S mountain which has great mountain biking and hiking trails. I highly recommend this condo for anyone wanting to stay in Salida.

Such a great experience staying at the 'biker'. We loved the location and how easy it was to walk all over Salida. Safeway & Natural Grocers are just a couple of blocks away for any grocery needs. The kitchen has everything you need to cook - which is so appreciated! Plus, Salida has a lot of restaurants and shops to walk to. Loved being next to the river and being able to walk along it. The patio is huge and a great spot for morning coffee. Great location and easy to navigate. Than you!

Among the best options in Salida
This is a really comfortable unit in a prime location. It's very well appointed, and it should not be overlooked that it's one of the few places with air conditioning (central, no less). (I personally don't buy in to the commonly held convention that you don't need a/c in Salida in the summertime; it can be a damn hot place, dry though it may be.) Plenty of outdoor space, and the two upper-level master suites work great for two couples. For those worried about noise, it's a legitimate concern in this area, but on a quieter weekend, as when I was there, it certainly was not a problem. I've spent a lot of time in Salida over a number of years, and I would definitely stay here again. The owners obviously take pride in the unit and make every effort to provide a superior experience for their guests.
