Lake cabin at B2 Ranch

B2 Ranch is a 1600 + acre working cattle ranch in Freestone County TX that consists of pastures, rangeland, woods and wetlands. It is located about 1.5 hours south of Dallas and 2 hours north of Houston. As a guest at B2 ranch you will have the opportunity to explore, hike, bike, kayak, canoe, fish, observe wildlife, or just relax. Also, the lake cabin is the only guest accommodation on the ranch, making it a true get away.

B2 Ranch lake cabin is a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom cabin overlooking a 3 acre spring fed lake. The newly furnished cabin includes a king size bed, a pullout sofa, refrigerator with small freezer, microwave, tv with dvd player (no cable or satellite), and coffee maker with coffee. Linens, towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner are also included. A fire pit with cooking grill is located just outside the cabin as well as a charcoal grill. It does not include a stove or oven.

As part of your stay at B2 Ranch, you have access to 2 kayaks, a canoe and flat bottom boat along with paddles and life jackets. The lakes on the ranch are stocked with bass and open for fishing.

When staying at B2 Ranch you are free to explore and roam the ranch. There are miles of roads and trails where you can see an abundance of wildlife. Guests have access to the 1600+ acre ranch for most of the year. From October through January guests access may be limited to 200 acres that is immediately around the lake and cabin. Place of total peace.
I will be returning to this cabin asap. I only stayed here one night but that night was full of peace, bliss and tranquility. Next time I plan to stay longer. If you are trying to escape the hustle, grit and grime of the big city this is your escape.

This place is beautiful. My husband is a big fisherman so all the ponds were great. I even caught 2 fish and I never fish. He caught about 20. Beautiful property with amazing view and complete seclusion.

If you're flipping a coin to decide, choose this one!
Our second time here and it did not disappoint! When we drove up to the cabin we both felt a weight removed from us. It's extremely serene. The cabin had everything we needed; the lake is absolutely beautiful. It rained almost one entire day, but instead of being irritating, it made it even more breathtaking, as we watched the rain drops dance on the water's surface....we sat on the nice covered porch and just enjoyed it. During the daytime the birds sing, during the nightime the frogs sing. To recommend this place is an understatement.

This place is a hidden gem for couples who want a country feel. Great for fishing and relaxing in the country! We will be back! My only recommendation would be to have a bigger outside trash can and to have a shovel on the property. Everyone else was perfect!
