"Check in great, really quick, room was good. Clean and tidy, only thing i would say is the room was a bit tired. The bathroom especially. Carpets are old throughout and dated. We went to the grill for dinner and it was lovely. If the rooms and corridors are refreshed I would give it 10/10. As it is 8/10"

"The hotel itself was very good and staff were excellent. Be warned, there is no car park! Parking is about 300m away and is a light rail public car park. Only about £6.50 overnight but a bit inconvenient. No problems if you’re going by cab or public transport."

"Absolutely gorgeous hotel, the room was beautiful, the buffet breakfast was the best we've ever had. The only disappointment was the bar staff, plenty of staff but they just didn't seem to be bothered, took 10 minutes before they acknowledged we were there, seemed like they were put out by us being there. Other than that a great stay and we'll be back soon. "

"The building, both inside and out, is stunning. The lobby area is absolutely gorgeous. The attached restaurant and pub, The Refuge, was top class and a lot of fun. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. I did get a very creepy feeling later that evening from our room and the hallway. I asked the receptionist if the place was haunted. She said, "oh yeah, but mostly in the second floor". We were on the third, so no worries. I love quirky places anyhow. It was overall an amazing stay....
