"The hosts, Flo and Caro, were most welcoming and helpful. The rental is an entire floor in their renovated farmhouse - separate from the family's living space. It was so comfortable, so well-equipped. The village is small and rural, but very close to the larger town of Salins-le-Bains. The scenery is spectacular. Many local hiking trails nearby. We stayed for almost four weeks. It was very healing. We would definitely book again."

"Très bon séjour dans ce superbe gîte atypique ! Proche de toutes commodités Hôte très sympathique !! Nous avons été très bien accueilli ! Attention, en été, il fait un peu chaud ! "

"Appartement de 4 chambres situé à 10mn de la première plage du lac de joux, accès direct aux randos vélos et pédestre. Lac très agréable pour baignade , paddle, barbecue sur la plage ! Entre amis ou en famille ce spacieux appartement nous a permis de bien nous ressourcer . Les hôtes sont très accueillant, merci à eux pour leur gentillesse et leurs conseils."

"Overall, we were very satisfied with the property! The location was very quiet, beautiful views. The house and pool were foreseen with all necessities and was clean. Due to a storm, there was no WIFI connection available, which we didn't know about up front, it would have been good to have been updated on this as some people in the group had some work/studying to do. "Lovely little cottage in a peaceful location in Métabief area. Host was very communicative leading up to our arrival and made us feel welcome. Cleaning was arranged prior to arrival and they kindly gave us access to everything at the property. Great base for visiting Jura region and lakes north of Lake Geneva. Lake Neuchâtel is about an hour away and we visited Chamonix which was about 2 1/2 hours away."

The canoes, the dragon, the wetsuits and shoes were used every day in the river, and the bikes were all used – great for a party to cycle for bread from Ornans each...

A perfect place

"What a perfect holiday destination! We loved the whole ambience of Chateau de la Loue. We were warmly welcomed by Pierre to a beautiful and generously equipped home and we all felt comfortably at home. There was plenty of space both indoors and outdoors for family fun and games. We weren’t presented with a list of do’s and dont’s. The canoes, the dragon, the wetsuits and shoes were used every day in the river, and the bikes were all used – great for a party to cycle for bread from Ornans each morning. The table tennis and boules were greatly enjoyed and lots of space for cricket. We had a wonderful holiday, culminating in an excellent last night meal for 17 at the nearby restaurant, Loue a la Bouche. We felt privileged to share the owners’ home. Thank you. "

"Mixed review. We stayed on a Sunday evening. Be prepared to not be able to get anything food & drink wise at the hotel past 3pm. Staff were helpful in finding us restaurants nearby that would be open for dinner but without a car options were very very limited. Had a misunderstanding on checkout which whilst was an accident on their side I felt very awkward and uncomfortable about so service then was quite poor. Room was very clean. Lake view lovely. Breakfast was included and was good. Lots of flies in ground floor communal areas. "

"The hotel has historic elements mixed with the very modern and is extremely attractive. Our room was a little dated but was kept very clean and was much larger than average. The bathroom was spacious and had everything you need. The location is excellent - right in the centre of the village, and for wine lovers an easy walk to many producers for a tasting. By far the best thing about the property was Jesse (the receptionist), she was so friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay special. "

"Amazing property. We had a delightful two night stay. The only negative was the breakfast, which it is overpriced and you better wake up early or you risk not being even seen by the limited and overly busy attending personnel. The second day we sat at our table for more than 30 min unacknowledged. At that point we left and had breakfast at the local boulangerie."
