We purchased all-inclusive but when checking in if we did not add another $35.00 per person per day, we would not be able to get dinner reservations or the "better" menu. We did not add the extra $450.00 to our reservation so we NEVER got a dinner reservation anywhere on property. Also, the time share people were relentless - 5 people in 2 days approached us and would not stop, they were pushy and rude. We went on vacation to enjoy not have a 90 minute time share presentation. Many people were complaining about the upgrade and if you did not buy it you got nothing. We have stayed at Hacienda Encantada 4 times but will not return. The pool tiles are missing, the paint was peeling off the walls in the rooms, no staff cared.

The property is beautiful. Rooms are pretty nice, nothing crazy but fine. ocean view is OK. When we got there we got great service from the first beach bar/restraunt. Awesome server. After that it totally sucked. We went to the open pool and there was no server available. We walked up to the bar and they wouldnt take our order - said we would need to wait for a server to come by. Back to our seats and waiting 45 min for the server to finally come. After we tipped him he came around more often but it was really frustrating. We reserved at one of the nicer restraunts and the food was pretty dissapointing. It seems like the more casual food is better here. Our waiter at night seemed highly inexperienced. He took about 45 minutes to get us menus and a total of 1 hour to get my wife a glass of wine. It's too bad because it's such a nice property and we really liked some of the people working there. But when you are paying for all inclusive it all comes down to getting great service. You shouldnt need to bribe (tip) to get your drink orders.

The property is awesome, well maintained and well planned. Having several options for dining and different pools around the property is a plus. The staff is super friendly, professional and courteous in fact I remember a waitress called Isabel (serving the pool area where the pizza station is located) who was AWESOME!!! Food quality was very good, breakfast offer was very good and it accommodates almost all preferences/limitation. Breakfast process was fast and the service was great (almost no wait time). Tried some restaurants and the service and the food were really good. Now, what I didn't like: - Restaurants booking model: Will be good to be notified that you need to book your whole stay in advance as the rest gets sold out very fast. It was a low season and I couldn't find a slot for some restaurants during the whole week :(... if you go there, day 1 try to book every single dinner otherwise you will be eating Pizza much of the nights :( - Beverage model: I got the full package however they control the drinks (alcohol and not alcoholic) in a way that takes for ever to get a drink. It doesn't matters if you approach the bar to pickup the drink by yourself or ask any of the waitress to bring one wherever you are. - Transportation: If you use Uber (highly recommended because the taxis are very expensive) you need to leave the property and get into a dirty ally to gain access to your uber driver. It's not fun to be there under the inclement sun and all the dirt

The facilities were beautiful and the food was excellent. Even though my family and I had the all-inclusive we had to wait and sign for a check every time you consumed anything. That was horrible, and got old fast Wish they could come up with a new system… Also, the restaurants service is a little slow but you have to take into consideration that everything is made fresh on the spot. Other than that the stay was perfect!
