"Casa da Laxa was exactly what we were hoping for and more. The location is so tranquil tucked into a hill on the edge of temperate rainforest. Checking in was very smooth and the house very spacious and equipped with everything you might need. We headed out to visit castros, petroglyphs and hot springs but also spent plenty of time wending our way through the forest and the largely abandoned village, visiting the local river pool and sitting outside the local bar. "Fantastic hotel! The operator George is amazing. He speaks great English and was incredibly accommodating. We arrived very early and he was able to get our room ready as quickly as possible. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel is right in the centre and on the Camino trail. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Caldas de Reis. "
