The location is stunningly serene, with breathtaking views across the bay and the mountains as a picturesque backdrop. Every morning, we were greeted with the beauty of the landscape right outside the windows, reminding us we were in a truly magical place. The holiday home itself was cozy, charming, and beautifully maintained, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like a home away from home. The house’s traditional Connemara charm paired with all the modern comforts made our stay incredibly comfortable and relaxing. From the warm interior to the lovely garden and surrounding stone walls, every detail added to the experience. The peacefulness of the bay and the surrounding countryside allowed us to disconnect from the usual hustle and bustle, while still having easy access to local amenities and the captivating sights of Connemara. "My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Abbeyglen Castle Hotel. We were warmly greeted at reception by the owner, who provided us with champagne in the evening along with fascinating insights into the castle's history. Our dinner experience was delightful, complemented by engaging entertainment, and the breakfast was truly exceptional. We also appreciated the atmosphere of the piano bar following dinner. Our accommodations were outstanding and beautifully suited to the castle's character."

"We stayed in self catering house just few yards from the hotel. The house had everything we needed, was very clean and comfortable too. We ate in hotel on first night. Food was excellent. Hotel is very well decorated and clean. Staff were helpful, especially Marian and Kylie. Didn’t use the spa nor the sauna (which you have to pay extra for). The sauna is by the small private beach. Definitely would highly recommend this place."

"After our pervious week in 2022, we were delighted to return to Eileen's rental house. We were warmly welcomed, and then left to settle in. We appreciated Eileen contacting her "fish man" who came by and we purchased fresh scallops, hake and a fish new to us. We enjoyed the remoteness and the comfort of the house, settling in the big chairs to read and watch the changing views of the bay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return."
