BEAUTIFUL HOUSE WITH A BEAUTIFUL VIEW
The house was accurately portrayed. It was beautiful, clean, comfortable and it worked well with 8 of us (4 couples). The decor was adorable and the house felt so inviting. We all very much enjoyed it.

Great beach front experience
We've stayed at the property before and really enjoyed it again. There were several things that needed fixing in the house, which I sent in a text message, but it doesn't seem like the property agent took any action to fix them

Great place!
A little under stocked in the kitchen, but ok. Door to beach doesn’t work…could not lock it, even with their instructions. Master shower needs instructions. Couldn’t get water to turn on. Otherwise a gorgeous, restful delightful property.

Unbeatable views in a lovely, quiet neighborhood
The pictures don't do this home justice! When you walk through the door the view takes your breath away! You truly feel like you are in another world - we even had a couple deer wander past the house when the tide was out our first morning there. The home is very well cared for and extremely spacious. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this home.

Sunset views are great from the property. On July long weekend, it got little hot without AC. However the care takers did drop off some extra fans. Property is spacious and near to the water. However there are cleanliness issues. There was bird poop on many of the windows. Left over hair from previous guest on wall in one of the bathrooms. The recycle bin below the kitchen cabinet was still having old guests left overs. Cleaning can definitely be improved.

Nice but lots of bird poop
Kim at Vacasa outstanding, personally came to clean bird poop off windows, arranged for professional window cleaner. Gorgeous views & location, but deck & patio furniture all covered with bird poop, no hose or we would have cleaned. Interior cleaning needs improvement for sure. Broken blind, lamps shorting out, burned out light bulb in shower - need manager walk-through before guests arrive! Absolutely no safety bars in showers, so seniors beware. Quiet neighborhood, generally nice stay but it’s the details that need significantly more attention.

Great location, needs TLC
This property could be fabulous. The location was better than we could've imagined. The house itself is wonderful with plenty of room, comfy furniture, etc. However, upon reading previous reviews, I see that the issues we dealt with have been ongoing for quite a while. It was not as clean a they say it should've been. There were several windows without screens. The carpets were stained. There are still several light switches that don't work even though a previous review said they were bringing out an electrician to fix them. The shower in the master bathroom leaked a little into the bedroom below so we weren't able to use it (they were bringing in a plumber the day we checked out). I will say that Vacasa's customer service was great. I made them aware of our concerns and they addressed them immediately.

Disrepair
Lovely home on breakfront salt water. Same disrepair as 2 years ago (door handle falls off), stains on carpeting in master bedroom and stairs, the cheapest towels/face cloths on the market. Great house and location but not kept up. Also problems with lights…

Quiet getaway with beautiful view
Its a very nice, spacious house, with an amazing water view in a on a quiet street. Be aware of a couple of things though. The property is managed by a professional management company, not the homeowner. This adds about $50/night of cost in the form of a booking fee. It also results in a much less homey feel and less than prompt communication at times with the management. There were a few things broken in the house but nothing major. Be prepared to have to figure out everything about the house yourself. There are no instructions or welcome book. There is also only one TV and that has more than local channels. They do not have cable but the big TV in the family room does have access to smart apps.

Quick Halloween getaway
The property was in a spectacular location. I would say that the home could use some maintenance and breezeway cleaning. Some of the door handles and locks did not work properly and the entrance looked like it had not been swept in a while. Otherwise property was perfect for a short getaway with friends

Comfortable, spacious option for nature lovers
My husband and I had relaxing stay for our wedding anniversary getaway. The house is much larger than we needed for just the two of us, but we wanted to stay right on the water. IMO this rental is optimal for large groups and/or nature lovers. We loved watching the herons, terns (diving for fish!) and seals every day right from the house. The master bed was quite comfortable, which is something I’m picky about (my sleep number is 60-65 in case that helps). We enjoyed the gas fireplace and were always comfy in the living areas. I loved the landscaping, which is well done and also offers privacy from the neighbors on each side. The house also has a few amenities I didn’t notice in the listing, including 2 outdoor lounge chairs on the upper deck and a nice propane grill. On the con side, the house seems to have had little updating of the interior since built, which I estimate to be in the mid-1990s based on the architecture. The bathrooms look more dated in person than the photos. I was not comfortable using the jetted tub In the master bath; the jets just look gross at this point. The carpet on the stairs and into the 2nd floor also really looks worse for the wear. In the reviews that mention lack of cleanliness I think this is a contributing factor. I would recommend this rental with those caveats. I’d also like to point out that the reviews expecting squeaky clean windows with no bird droppings are not being realistic about staying in a house right on the water. I used to live on the coast myself and when you’re situated this close to the shore with wildlife right our your front door, you would have to wash your windows at least once a day to combat the bird activity! There is a hose on the upper deck which I used to rinse off the glass panels myself toward the end of our stay. This just comes with the territory IMO.

Great location and quiet: not COVID clean
We received a call from the property manager about a 1/2 hour before check in at 4pm ( confirmed via email the day before) saying housekeepers were running behind and the property wouldn't be ready until 6pm & offered to refund a portion of the cleaning fee. While we weren't happy since we were on our way, and my mother-in-law was almost there and not reachable by phone, we figured we could make it work - we'd get there, pick her up and then go get some groceries while they finished up. We arrived at 4pm and to our surprise, the solo housekeeper was just leaving. The owner had apparently showed up and left before we arrived as well. According to my mother-in-law, who talked with both women, the renters who were there prior to us allegedly had a huge party and there was a ton of clean up to do. We could see the huge pile of trash that the housekeeper left in the garage (at least 10+ bags + dozens of cans) and figured this poor cleaner was rushed to try to finish up before we arrived. We were also informed upon arrival that the washing machine was broken, but there should be enough linens for our 5 day stay. Bummer, as we rent homes specifically because they have washing facilities, especially when staying at the beach. After settling in/being there less than 24 hrs., we realized that the house was in no way "COVID clean". There were flies on the windowsills, dirty handprints all over the main floor windows, food crumbs on the edge of the cooktop, used soap in the master shower, coffee grounds/filter still in the coffee pot, dusty glass shelves, etc. Fortunately we had Clorox wipes and were able to wipe down the high touch surfaces. We called the PM company and they apologized and sent someone out to clean. BUT it still never seemed to be what we would have expected; we continued to find dirty corners/areas throughout our stay. To make matters worse, the room above the garage where our daughter slept, started to stink. At first we thought it might be from the septic system, but figured out by day 3 that it was the stench of rotting garbage from the garage. We again called the PM and they sent someone out to take it away. None of this is the owner's fault and we want to make that clear. The house itself: it has a ton of space to spread out & is fairly well equipped, but one thing to note is the view from the 1st floor is largely obstructed by plants. Also, there is no "yard" or dining area on the beach side which is a bummer.

Views, Comfort and Beach Vibes Await
We had 2 families stay together in this lovely home for a week. We've rented several homes on this island over the years and this one was overall our favorite. We loved the views of the water, sunsets and the quiet vibe of this part of the island. Some things to note about the location: it's close to town which makes running to the store quick, the beach is not sandy, so bring good beach shoes for the kids to play in. This part of the island is windy. It was beautiful weather in late July so it wasn't a problem but it definitely cools down at night, so pack accordingly. About the property: comfortable master bed and spacious throughout. Decorated nicely and the kitchen is incredible. Great propane fire pit out side. Towels were very limited. Very few bath towels (not even enough for the 7 our reservation was for) and though advertised, there were no beach towels. Luckily we know some folks on the island and some members of our party had brought their own beach towels. When we arrived there were many aspects of the house that were not cleaned and were very unsatisfactory; streaks on the appliances, gritty floors, dirty microwave, very limited supply of paper products and hand soap, dirty upper deck with bird poop on many upper and lower windows. Given we're amidst a pandemic, I expected much more on the cleaning front, at least inside. We reported these cleanliness concerns to Vacasa which was responsive and sent a cleaner out the next day. However, no additional towels arrived. All in all, we loved our stay in this house and would stay again in a heartbeat but would be sure to bring our own towels, spices, food storage containers, dishwasher detergent, pump hand soap and probably some camp chairs since outdoor seating was very limited.
