Frustrating experience that need not have been
We were a group of friends from Sydney away for the weekend to see a show in Canberra and visiting a Canberra friend. The townhouse is layed out well, bathrooms were great however it was a hot weekend and we were advised the third air conditioner in bedroom was still not working. However we were not told the four queen size beds advertised were actually 2 double beds and two queen beds. One of the double beds was so rock hard our friends could not sleep in the bed. The friends that did stay had on both nights the slats in the basement room collapsed in the night. I had seen a review about this and enquired if the bed had been fixed with Wendy and did not get a reply. Also the lounge tv you could not get free to air tv on it ( also previously reviewed as an issue). Our weekend became disjointed because we were not together. I was very embarrassed as the organiser of the trip. It has never happened to me before. Customer care re this property is negligible. It’s a pity because the townhouse is in good nick and could have been ok if the property manager checked the property themselves. Turn the tv on and make sure the basic tv works, replace the unsleepable mattress with a queen.bed in both upstairs rooms. Get a new base for the slat bed. Service the air conditioner or replace it. And pick up the 30 letters from the mail box spilling out on the front steps. We placed on the dining room table. Just a few extra dollars spent would make the property very acceptable for 8 adults .
