This is our second time staying at this property. The first time we went in January. This time we went with a few more people in December and upon booking we asked for our rooms to be together. When we got there to check in the other couples had went, checked in and gotten done well. The lady that we had had messed around kept going over by the other people kept going in the back, just kept messing around and about six other couples had checked in between the time that we had got to the desk to check in to the time that she actually assigned our room and you could hear the other couples getting the same rooms that we had ordered and then she said well the only way I can give you a room that’s by the other people that you came with is if you take one with a double bed because now there’s no rooms available we paid extra to have an ocean view and we were on the second floor and you could barely see above the palm trees, so we had no view of the ocean.

Our second visit this year! Wonderful property, great rooms with bathtubs, never ending hot water, get the pillow top put on your bed, nice pillows, wonderful beach area, Rossini's Italian restaurant has the best antipasto bar, great servers, shuttle to the Riu caribe for their Theme night parties, late check outs available as well. You won't regret a visit to this hotel.

The resort was nice and the rooms were clean. Jade was great; she helped me surprise my in-laws who were celebrating 49 years of marriage and our dear friends celebrating 45 years of marriage. However, the receptionist who checked me in was not welcoming and didn’t explain anything about the resort besides giving me the room keys. The drinks were noticeably low in alcohol. We dined at two restaurants: the morning buffet and the steakhouse. The steakhouse lacked flavor, and the meat was tough to chew. The Asian restaurant had limited options, and we discovered that the buffet at night offered Asian food as well. The buffet had more flavor and shorter wait times. The Spanish night at the buffet was good in flavor, though some items, like the enchiladas de mole, had cold tortillas and filling. Overall, the restaurants could improve in flavor. The entertainment was okay, but not great. The beach was lovely. It was windy most of our days, but we still enjoyed the beach and the waves. Overall, it's a good place to relax and great for the beach. However, the food and entertainment could be better.

The resort was amazing! It was beautiful and the staff were very attentive. I got the elite club and the restaurant alone was enough to make me want to come back. I will say the only thing that threw me off was the resort credits. They were used more so as a discount which was strange to me. You couldn’t actually buy anything with just the credits but other than that the room, pool, dining options, and activities were a plus! I would recommend and actually stay here again.

I love the cleanliness of this resort and easy access to needs. My Ocean View room was perfect. Would've like to see a little more entertainment, activities at pool but overall like the peace and serenity in addition to option to visit other RIU locations. The bar upstairs would have been nice to have more upbeat music while shooting pool but overall i cant wait to go back to this resort!

money was taken out of my room. i left money in an envelope on my bed underneath my clothes and went to eat breakfast and when i came back my bed was made and my belongings moved when i checked my envelope money was missing out of it. and of course the hotel did nothing because i didnt lock it up. mind you the maid lied said she didn't move anything so how my bed get made and my belongings set on the desk
