Casita El Mango de Malpais

The typical Canarian house with private pool, garden and barbecue area is located on a paradise plant Malpais de Candelaria about 200 meters above Candelaria in the southeast of the island, away from mass tourism. It is 45 km to Tenerife South Airport, Tenerife North Airport about 30 km.
The Casita el Mango is the ideal place for nature lovers to enjoy peace and relax.
It is about 10 minutes by car to the nearest supermarket about 6 km on the state of Candelaria.
The location is ideal for trips to all the attractions of the island.
The house has two bedrooms, one bedroom with two single beds (0.90 x 2.00 m) and a bedroom with a double bed (1.40 x 2.00m), a bathroom and a kitchen with living area.
The living room has a sofa bed for max. 2 persons (1.40 x 2.00 m). The kitchen is equipped with a kettle, toaster, coffee maker and refrigerator. In a separate garden house has a washing machine. Chairs and pool chairs at the pool.
Beds and towels are provided and changed every 7 days.

Tranquil retreat
This is a charming quirky place, the gardens are surprisingly large and at a lower level than the accommodation itself which is very private. The pool is great for cooling off. The terrace is shady so a lovely spot to relax reading or have a leasurley meal. The kitchen lacks an oven but there is a four ring hob and there is BBQ in the garden. The kitchen is reasonably equipped. There is a washing machine and freezer which helps longer stays. The owners were helpful and responded quickly to queries. So it’s a great place to relax whist the north of the island attractions and beaches are easily within range. The owner has another three properties in the immediate area.

Lovely, quiet retreat with everything we needed to enjoy our stay
The Casita el Mango was a haven of peace after a busy day. The owners were really welcoming on arrival and sorted out anything for us quickly and efficiently. The house was clean and furnished with all we needed, a washing machine and freezer were very useful. The barbecue area was great and the pool was well maintained and so refreshing after a day out. We loved our stay there and found its location ideal if like us, you want to tour all areas of the island.

Abseits der Touristenmassen
Wir haben im Oktober 2019 eine wunderbare Woche auf Tenneriffa verbracht. Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und haben ein schönes kleines Anwesen mit Mangobäumen, einem Aussengrill und schöner Terasse. Die Kinder haben begeistert im Pool gespielt und die Lage ermöglicht es den Süden, Norden der Insel und den Teide innerhalb von 45-60min zu entdecken. Gerne empfehle ich dieses Objekt jedem der die Ruhe liebt und den 15 min Autofahrt nicht schrecken.

Innen sehr dunkel, karge Ausstattung, ruhige Lage
Das Grundstück liegt in der "Ecke" eines Barrancos. Dadurch ist es sehr ruhig. Der untere Teil des Gartens liegt fast den ganzen Tag im Schatten. Da das Haus an der Felswand anliegt, gibt es innen nur wenig Licht aus den Fenstern zum Sitzplatz vor dem Haus. Zudem ist der nach Süden liegende Sitzplatz auch noch überdacht. Für uns hat sich das Haus daher nach Höhle angefühlt. Defintiv nicht das, was man sich im Urluab wünscht. Die Kücheneinrichtung war marginal. Wir haben Geschirr, Besteck und leistungskräftigere LED-Glühbirnen selbst nachgekauft (und anschließend auf Teneriffa lebenden Freunden geschenkt). Die Waschmaschine wäscht nur kalt. Laut Eigentümern ist dies ein lange bekanntes Problem. Handlungsbedarf sahen die Eignetümer aber nicht. Warmes Wasser gab es gerade so ausreichend zum Duschen. Der Gasboiler ist zu klein. Zwischendurch fiel er für einen Tag aus. Am Abend kam dann der Eigenmtümer und reparierte ihn. Der Garten ist wenig gepflegt, aber nutzbar. Gemäht wurde nicht. Der Pool lag weitgehend im Schatten und ist leider im Februar sehr kalt gewesen. Der Atlantik war weiteraus wärmer und wurde täglich genutzt. Die Eigentümer sind im Umgang freundlich, aber das Bestreben, das Maximum aus der Vermietung zu erzielen und Investitionen zu vermeiden, ist sehr spürbar. Der Unterschied zwischen dem von uns gezahlten Preis und der im Haus liegenden Preisliste 2018 war bemerkenswert. Wir mussten uns darauf konzentrieren, das Schöne zu sehen und den Urlaub "trotzdem" zu genießen.
