"This was the first stop on our trip thru Spain, embarking from Bilbao. Four sixty year olds looking for peace and quiet. We had driven through awesome mountain scenery and arrived at the hotel to be greeted by George (can't spell the Spanish version) who gave us a history of the area. The rooms were simple but very comfortable, with a bed that we didn't want to get out of! There were 6 rooms in an outside block, each with a small patio area and chairs and a mountain view. "Great service in a beautiful and quiet village that is very well worth visiting. The owner, Sonia, was always very attentive and pleasant. We enjoyed their home-made natural cider and the superb breakfast with homemade pastries (by the way, excellent coffee!). Although we initially chose this hotel as a stopover between Cangas de Onis and Covadonga, we ended enjoying it as a true highlight of our trip in the North of Spain"

"What an amazing find up so high up in the mountains. Huge room with great views of the church and mountains. The set 3 course evening meal with water and a bottle of wine for 2 was great value at €30 each."

"Took a bit of finding, directions could be more specific. Fairly obscure turn off main Rd. However once found, easy peasy. Staff really friendly and so helpfull. Would certainly stat there again. In fact we have spoken about a return visit."
