"Beto, the groundskeeper, was wonderful! Full of information and helpful. Loved his sweet little dog, Miraposa (Butterfly), even though I'm usually a cat person. Short walk to beach. Remember, this is glamping. It was easy to adjust to using the solar electricity as we have an RV and it's same idea. Bring a flashlight. It was hard to find property. Need a better sign. Also, the Casitas Mono needs an overhead fan. Need one more solar panel if you put that in."

"We had a wonderful time in Carate, and this house was the ideal home base for all of our activities. We saw scarlet macaws and toucans regularly and were fortunate enough to see a tapir pointed out by the very helpful property manager and tour guide, Yeri. The house has simple but impressive amenities for how remote the area is. The drive to get there is an adventure in itself but you could not be closer to the park once you arrive! Highly recommend getting meals prepared by Tatiana and skipping...

"We were in Drake Bay for three nights for a couple of days of diving with our two adult children. The house was perfectly situated, lots of space, and an amazing covered deck area with an afternoon breeze. Everything went very smoothly from first communications through to check-out. Overall we have no hesitation giving this house five stars."

Woke up each day to parrots singing and monkeys swinging by and drifted off to sleep each night to the magical solitude of the rainforest. "Unique getaway, lots of wildlife. If you stay here do dinner at the Bosque del Cabo, lots of wildlife and a great meal. Make sure you're prepared for the rough road in!"

"My wife and I had an incredible stay here. The place was spacious and well appointed. We made all our meals and enjoyed while watching the moneys play in the trees above. As many others have mentioned the drive in is part of the adventure and you'll want a high clearance 4x4. The beach is a short walk away and also full of wildlife. The Kig Luis waterfall is well worth the hike. Isaac and his wife were awesome and very responsive. Love this place and Costa Rica!"

"L'endroit est parfait pour explorer Baie Drake et en étant un peu retiré pour la tranquillité. Sebastian le proprio offre le service de taxi pour un prix très raisonnable. Le balcon donne sur les arbres et les singes viennent à cet endroit. Sécuritaire pour aller seule à pied au village le soir avec lampe frontale. 1 km de la mer et 2 km du village. "This is a spectacular location made even more so by the kind helpful site manager Joel. Ask him about the flora or fauna or ask him to schedule a wonderful outing. We went to Corcovado by boat and highly recommend it. Stay right where you are or go for long walks. Both ways you will see so much wildlife. The houses are comfortable and well outfitted. "It really is hard to put into words how amazing this place is. You truly are right in the middle of the best that the Osa’s nature has to offer. Michael is a great host and welcomed us when we got there. He gave us the run through of how everything worked and helped with any issues that came up. From resetting the WiFi, to helping us get to an early morning fishing tour by moving a downed power line in the middle of the road so we could get by with our vehicle. "This was an amazing space for a week away with our kids and spouses, who all live in different cities. Tranquil space with lots of options for more excitement (e.g. surfing lessons), and a constant nature show of birds, monkeys, and other wildlife. Delicious food, and friendly staff who went the extra mile (one of our daughters twisted her knee on the first day and needed a few more rides than we'd planned on). We absolutely plan on another visit, hopefully soon!"

"This open air home was immaculate! It was perfectly equipped with incredible cookware, fabulous bathrooms and the roar of the sea. We were prepped to keep all food in a convenient lockable pantry so the monkeys would not steal anything. The monkeys tried but we were prepared. The comfortable beds were screened with overhead fans. Perfect!"

"Very difficult to get to - hour and a half of bumpy roads to Carate, then a 3.5k hike. The logistics were not well communicated, but worked out fine. Hot (mid-April visit). The grounds are pretty special with spider monkeys frolicking in the trees right above the tents and ocean waves supplying 24-7 white noise. "Sympathetically designed hotel giving excellent accommodation coupled with wonderfully maintained garden areas which were full of wildlife. Convenient for Puerto Jimenez airport and town. Very helpful and friendly staff. Great night tours, fishing trips which set off from private jetty were very popular and that was also a great place for a sundowner!"

The Tranquilo Lodge - All meals included

"Amazing stay! We came here for our honeymoon, and it was the perfect choice. One of the owners of the lodge, Sebastien, even picked us up and dropped us off at the airport himself. We were really impressed with this level of service! He and his partner, Christophe, were always so kind to us. Christophe even went above and beyond to help us get money back when we encountered a scam off of the resort. All of our meals were incredible! It was really fun to be surprised at each meal with what was being served, and we never had anything we didn’t like. They were very helpful in making sure we had everything we needed for our excursions and even walked us to the beach to make sure we got one the right boat. One of our favorite experiences was walking to the beach with the lodge dog- Oro! Our first walk down, he was our guide! It was very impressive and adorable. The honeymoon suite was amazing! It is off on its own, so you get a little extra privacy. The views are amazing too. We would love to come back here again one day and would recommend this spot wholeheartedly. "

"Beautiful wildlife eco tourism facility. Many trails and opportunities right there to view the OSA Peninsula biodiversity. Meals were fabulous. We stayed in their one concrete “hobbit house” like facility which was Charming but lacked good sir circulation to cool down for sleeping despite 2 fans. "

"Mila was exceptional & always greeted us with a warm friendly smile. She helped accommodate us as a family member was sick. Mila also went out of her way to help me celebrate my birthday We stayed at the very top of the property which was amazing but not for those who are elderly or struggle with a step climb. "
