Through the high banks of a coastal farm called Penbanc, tumble wild flowers in
summer and rustling sea breezes in winter. This is home to the Yurt @ Penbanc Pasture
outside the village of Moylegrove.
Part of an organic farm, the yurt sleeps two adults and is off-grid, a chance to enjoy a
stay that’s both reassuringly simple and focused on gazing, sleeping, eating and
relaxing.
The Yurt @ Penbanc Pasture celebrates simplicity and the business of actual living – lighting
a fire to boil the kettle, contemplating, experiencing weather and being ‘in’ the landscape
not just observing it.
But, don’t worry, the yurt is not about roughing it! It’s located in a corner of the farm, with
its own fenced area, tucked away under a sycamore tree, with wonderful views across
the valley. It’s double insulated with wool, making it warm and snug whatever the
weather, fully lockable oak door and two floor to ceiling windows, one of which opens
out into the garden area.
Inside, there is a wood burning stove, sofa, huge vintage rug, double bed, chairs,
storage, bright battery-operated lanterns and fairy lights. And if you need to charge
your phone or laptop, a full charging pack is provided. The circular layout of the yurt
reaches high into the ceiling making for a magical stay in a shape of space we rarely get
to experience.
Outside the yurt and behind the wooden gate and chestnut fencing, is a kitchen area
with a double-ringed gas cooker, a huge sink with hot water, kitchen equipment and a
large outdoor table and chairs with umbrella as well as hammock. Next to the kitchen is
a large shower room complete with hot water and set back a little into the garden, is a
compost loo.
At night, all the areas twinkle with solar fairy lights bright enough to show the way but
subtle enough not to disturb the wildlife or spoil any star gazing.
On arrival, you have your own parking space and two wheelbarrows to transport your
luggage. The green lane is flat and signed to the yurt, taking about 5 minutes to arrive.
Penbanc is a working farm and you’ll be close to sheep, lambs, horses, cows, calves,
geese, hens and the odd pig. All are friendly and safe in their fields and none the less
fascinating to watch.
You can buy meat and eggs from the farm and you’ll have a dedicated fridge in the barn
area. Penbanc Pasture is a working farm – native breed sheep, cattle, pigs, hens and
two horses and the owners are always keen to show guests around and offer a very
warm welcome to their guests.
The Yurt @ Penbanc Pasture is less than 3 miles from the famous Pembrokeshire
Coastal Path and the quiet beach of Ceibwr Bay. It’s a 10-minute drive to the renowned
town of Newport and its beach, and close to Cardigan town for bigger shops, as well as
the food market at St Dogmaels. The Preseli Mountains seduce anyone who visits them
and are about 15 minutes’ drive away, as well as to be enjoyed from nearby views.

Getting there
SATNAV will direct you to the right road but will take you to the farm further along the lane ParKe, do not drive down this lane as it’s a private property. Penbanc is just before this on the right hand side. Look out for the little pale blue sign 'Penbanc Bach'

We suggest downloading the navigation app NavMi as this works via satellite and with What3Words if your mobile signal is patchy.
Once down the lane you'll see the parking area for the yurt. Someone should be there to meet you and show you the way.
