"Would definitely recommend the Rose and Crown as a place to stay in Carmarthen. The staff were cheerful and helpful, there's an extensive food menu served between 12 and 9pm. The breakfasts are to die for with local produce and veggie options. "

"What a spectacular setting! Secluded and quiet with beautiful walks through the forest alongside the estuary. We loved that the staff were relaxed, and the atmosphere unpretentious whilst the food was exceptional quality. We stayed in a top notch room which had a large spa-like bathroom with huge whirlpool bath. "

"Stayed in New Quay many times but this was our first stay at The Penwig and it didnt disappoint. We booked a sea view room which was lovely as you could sit in the morning and watch the dolphins out in the bay. The room was spacious and spotless. The breakfasts were tasty with a few choices and also catered for vegetarians. The staff were friendly, polite and nothing was too much trouble. There is no onsite parking but we used the carpark around the corner. It does get a bit noisey early in the am with deliveries to the pub and surrounding businesses etc but it wouldnt deter us in staying again."

"Just what we wanted! Onsite parking and electric charging. A well fitted room with a great bed and a lovely large shower. Fridge and microwave made the stay very easy. The rooms are well sited near the restaurant and shops"

"Was greeted warmly, room was lovely, clean, had everything you need, large TV, kettle, all you needed for hot drinks, nice chocolate and shower gels, breakfast your absolutely spoiled for choice, the full English was amazing cooked by the lovely Debbie. All staff were helpful and cared that my stay was enjoyable, I would recommend a stay here for sure"
