The location was ideal, offering a peaceful and private retreat. Communication with the host was excellent—they were friendly, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. "Easy to find as it’s the first home just off the main road. That being said it can get a little noisy when the large trucks drive by. For the most part it didn’t bother us and you get used to it. Great lake for kayaking (not provided) we brought our own. The dock does have a ladder for easy access. We took our dog to the other end of the lake where it is shallow and has a sandy bottom. "My family and I rented this cottage based on the past reviews and the cottage description. Unfortunately, the cottage was not properly described and was filthy when we arrived. We were assured by the owners that the cottage has been cleaned, but we did send photos of both buildings that proved otherwise. A cleaner was sent a day later but by then, we had already cleaned a bit. The kitchen had a tap that wasn't properly attached, stinky dish cloths, oven mitts with holes, drawers and cupboards...

"My wife and I (and 17 year old son) spent three wonderful days at this 'Rustic' cabin. The cabin was clean, quaint and exactly what one would expect from a 'rustic' cabin experience. The hosts Jason & Suzie were magnificent and went out of their way to ensure our trip was memorable. A very nice balance between relaxing on the property and adventures on the beautiful Westlemkoon Lake. We had a great time and look forward to returning."
