I stayed on ground floor, the occupants on the second floor were up at 4am and the noise from them moving around came through the ceiling and was loud enough to awaken me. I’m not sure if it is possible to use sound deadening, but making the secon floor occupants aware might help.

Nice motel with continental breakfast
We had a room with two queen beds. Motel offers continental breakfast (actually a little more than continental with fruit and yogurt and cereal choices). Maybe the hotel was overwhelmed with unexpected occupancy due to a hazardous chemical spill in the area, but there was no housekeeping in our two-day stay and no explanation or warning that there wouldn't be.
