"If you like a modern hotel this is not the place for you. It is full of interesting old memorabilia and history. I have never come across such personable friendly staff. Fabulous meals in both the restaurant and the cafe. "

"Ballina Manor was okay but needs some update to its overall condition. Was a bit disappointed that there was no temperature control in the room as it was rather stuffy in there. In summary, nice but could improve. Hotel staff was okay. Not rude, but definitely not excellent service "

"We had the most wonderful stay in Katie's Cottage. We met the lovely host Caroline on arrival and we couldn't have gotten a warmer welcome. There was fresh scones with jam and butter and a bottle of wine in the fridge. The house was absolutely immaculate with loads of fresh towels and bed linen. The beds were really comfy and the kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed. The surrounding area is stunning and the cottage was a great base to explore all of this. The cottage is within driving distance to Ballina so if you're staying you'll definitely need transport to access amenities. 5 star stay and would absolutely love to come back!
