"All in all nice little cottage for a couple and good as was pet friendly to go up Durham to visit our son up uni and take our dog to see him too. Cottage was nice a little place although i think the tv was slightly too high on wall. As we arrived there were 3 plumbing vans parked outside so had to park out side another cottage for bout hour n half till they moved their vans after going in pub at front of cottages before parking own car then outside our own cottage. Then as we were going to microwave our food the microwave had mouldy food inside of it. "Lovely stay overall. I booked a single room but got upgraded to a double one. The room is dated but had everything you need plus a bathtub which was amazing after a working day! Newcastle sightseeing spots are in walking distance there is a 10 mins walk to a shopping centre. Amazing if you’re travelling by train as the train station is juts next door. "We have just enjoyed a wonderful stay at the the Copthorne hotel for my birthday. When we checked in i was over the moon to hear that we had been upgraded to a suite.It was beautiful, wonderful view from our window. Breakfast was lovely. Staff so friendly. " A modern hotels no frills, clean comfortable and easy. Only wrinkle was they ask for a card number and expiry for other charges. I don’t carry plastic cards any more. I could get it from an app but the woman in front of me had to get a flat mate to find hers and then get sent a photo. "

Best price for an AMAZING modern in-the-city stay!

"Loved how close it was the in city centre, the town was just around the corner with many food places to try. Although the room was small, it was just right for two people. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds we’ve slept on and regret not trying the breakfast bar as it looked amazing when we were walking past. The communal space downstairs looked very modern and relaxing to sit and enjoy a drink. Would definitely stay here again! "
