"I rarely write reviews, but Avenue hotel is definitely deserving of one. I was a solo traveler and felt very safe at this hotel and the location. It was a very easy walk to the actual lake and I enjoyed all that the location had to offer. It's also not very far from the main bus stop if you want to take the train to other areas. Also, for a solo room, it was very spacious, clean and loved the bathroom/shower! The staff was very kind and accommodating and you have to get the breakfast at this hotel! BEST! I really think if you are looking for great accommodations in the Lake Como area, Avenue Hotel is a fabulous option! "

"The rooms are beautiful in this hotel, plus the rooftop restaurant/bar offers great views of Como and the Lake when the weather cooperates! All the staff were wonderful, expesically the Front desk girls and the Head Concierge, Alberto, who went "above and beyond" to help me correct some logistic issues and arrange a private boat tour up the lake to my next hotel!"

"This is a great hotel just about 15 minutes away from the shore & centre. Our room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was very good. Reception and breakfast staff were very nice and friendly. But our favourite was the rooftop bar and pool with the excellent service from Gaetano! He is a very attentive gentleman who made us very welcome and guessed our needs we didn’t know we had. "
