"This is a fantastic property. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. Although close to the main road (and easy access to local amenities, walks and beautiful beaches), it is quiet and peaceful. "Cottage was clean cosy and comfortable. It is about 15 mins drive to castle douglas. Owners live next door so easy to contact with minor issues. We were familiar with local area as visited frequently before."

Restaurants can be busy at weekends so consider booking. Ospreys at Threave Castle must see. Red kite viewing at Bellymack Farm also essential. Loch Arthur farm shop and cafe great for lunch or coffee break.
